I saw a thread earlier about a nickname for Granger, and I saw that on the Indystar Board they were using the name Nighthawk for the jet fighter. Something about how he could score 20 points without anyone noticing, by being under the radar.

I thought it sounded pretty cheesy myself, but what are other people's thoughts. Sorry if this is pretty pointless but I felt like I needed to make my first thread.

Also great game tonight. :)

I think he's dumb.

What about The Genius?

I saw a nickname for Murphy on the RealGm Message boards I thought it was kind of Cool.

"Trophy"

Combination of the first three(Tro) and last three letters(phy) of his name. I don't know who was the first to come up with it

I like Trophy, but Nighthawk is pretty lame.

No offense.

Like Trophy, hate Nighthawk. Prefer Quis for Marquis "The finisher" sounds like a bad movie title.

I got into the habit a long time ago of calling Quis "Predator" because of his dreads and also because of his games in the west where he'd go up against Sam Cassell I'd always call those games the:

"Alien"(Cassel) vs. "Predator" (Quis) Matchup

...I know i'm corny:grumble:

Let's call him 7.1, you know, since 5.1 is taken, and 7.1 is better :D

at my house we (i) refer to marquis daniels as "doc" because of his initials. when we need a spark off the bench you can hear me say, "hey rick, is there a doctor in the house?" and you can see my wife go:rolleyes: . granger is "danger" (i know alot people use that one) and then we just go with everyone else's regulars. feisty, jo, da, jt, etc. there has to be a good one out there for dunleavy. trophy is a good one by the way.

I like, Danny "Danger" Granger
haha, maybe too corny

for Murphy, "Trophy" that sounds good

For Marquis. "Quis" is prolly good enough tho i like the predator one
very original

for Dunleavy, I use, "Dun Dun", "The Dunster" lol wait theres more, "Lil Dun DUn", "Fun Dun", "Dun one"- when he scores single digits. "Dun none"- o points, "thugleavy"-when he gets agressive

man this is harder than i thought. lol

I like "The Finisher" only because he's very good at finishing and completing the play when driving to the basket.

This illustrates the reason I stopped on Indystar and came over to Pacers Digest.

"The Finisher" sounds like a cheesy commercial.

I can't remember which one, but it's terrible. "My kids call me the finisher..."

:puke:

Walker Texas Granger

Trophy is good. Much better than "Heaves to MurphyTroy" (murgatroid (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snagglepuss))

Tinman. Sometimes it seems like he needs to seek the wizard and request a heart.

Fostah, Austrailian fah boards

OG

Jay-O. Jaaaaay-O. Daylight come and me wanna go home.

Darryl "Viagra" Armstrong. (Cialis is more Indy appropriate)

Mike Dunleft the Warriors

Carkeys Daniels

Ike Tree-ogu

Rawle "We are" Marshall

Keith "Highlander" McLeod.

Shawne "Billy Dee" Williams

Baston Tea Party. (Strangler?)

David "Section 8" Harrison

There is a joke to be had, and I'm just going to leave it alone. I just wanted to acknowledge publicly that the opprotunity was there.
