I really regret not getting Chuck's autograph last night. I'm determined to make it happen now! Honestly, I thought the guy I talked to was a Pacers employee who was going to set something for me after the game, otherwise I would have been more apt to approach Chuck during the game.

Anyways... :pepper:  :pepper:

I'll get it autographed now though, no doubt about it. Plenty of games left!

That's a sweet Jersey, I'd like to see them use that next year for some throwback games. I like it alot more than this years retros... I know they were one of the great pacer teams and all.. but their jerseys were lame, not to mention like 5 other teams had the same exact line design, see Atlanta.

I had at least three guys try to buy the jersey off my back as I walked to the Fieldhouse from Penn Park. Seriously, I didn't expect THAT MUCH reaction to it.

I do agree though, if you are going to go retro - go retro with multiple jerseys from different eras. Mix it up.

Atlanta's lime green retros make me want to puke.

As was said elsewhere, he sits directly behind the Pacemates, at the north west tunnel. Right next to Mel Daniels.

Sorry to take this thread off-topic---Good job btw GBR!---See, if Indiana is such a "boring" place to live, then why do guys like Mel and Chuck and Derrick and Sam and Rik all still live and work around here? Gee, it must not be that boring/horrible after all. It's great to be a Hoosier & a Pacers fan! :trophy:

(Maybe if Dwayne Wade was on our team, he'd have a different opinion right now. :P )

Thats awsome

I really want one of Reggies jerseys from him rookie year, but I cant seem to find it anywhere.

I check periodically on eBay for them, and the ones I have seen listed usually go for around $250-300...so be prepared to bring out the Wallet!

Really cool, GO BIG SMOOTH. ;)

Anyway, I'd love to have a Reggie jersey like that. :o

Yeah, I saw you (BigSmooth) at the game, and Chuck couldn't have been more than 30 feet away...... :(

The jersey will get signed. Hey, I'm fairly shy I wll admit. But I figured the Pacers PR staff had something working for me. Did not know I had been interviewed by the Indy Star.

Yes, I saw Chuck & Mel sitting there. And my plan was to approach Chuck after halftime. But in the 2nd half, Mel was back but Chuck was gone.

Such is life.

Getting my pic in the paper was cool enough though. The signing of the jersey is just a formality now in my mind. Hell, a former college friend of mine works for the Pacers.

In any case - :pepper:  :pepper:

And yes, it did occur to me that Smits might have wondered if I was wearing his #45. The Dutchman did see me, I'm farily certain.
