there used to be a website who had the radiostreams...something like gamelive.net ? anyone know the correct address...and is it still working?

Always nice to have competent announcers. The Denver broadcasters just talked about how excited the Pacers are to have their Steven Foster, their center, back in the starting lineup.

Off to a horrible shooting start once again.

Tinsley does a great job with that pull-up jumper.

He's been so much better since he learned that. In his first couple years in the league, he always had to go all the way to the rack.

We're on pace to get up over 100 shots.

Of course we're also on pace to give up about 130 pts.

12-02-2006, 10:04 PM

Carmelo hasnt been stopped by ANYONE this year so I doubt we will stop him.

bnd45
12-02-2006, 10:07 PM
Well we're only down 10. Can't have any droughts in the 2nd half against this team. Melo is going to keep getting his, so we've got to stop the supporting cast. Armstrong should have been used to guard Boykins (12 pts) and he better get the nod over Runi in the 2nd half.

JO and Foster already with 10+ boards so at least we're productive on the glass tonight.

D has to pick up and Jack has to show up if we'e gonna get back in this game.

12-02-2006, 10:10 PM
forget stopping Carmelo, he alone can't do it, and Danny is doing admirable, it is Al that is simply not playing on defense, or if rarely inspired.

As I said, Sara gave Earl wings, and JO-JT have battled to limit the damage, the fact JO only has 3 Ft's is somewhat ad odds, as he is working inside, just not getting calls, refs are very bad, so is the rest of our team.

Fireball Kid
12-02-2006, 10:11 PM
Carmelo might end up with 50 tonight.

AesopRockOn
12-02-2006, 10:12 PM
They are 8-12 from three and have a game's worth of assists with 17. They may have fouled once during the 2nd quarter. We know what we have to fix but I really don't like our chances here.

Unclebuck
12-02-2006, 10:15 PM
I've been thinking this for a few weeks now (and I will expound on this much more in the coming days) the pacers help/team defense is horrible. And for that I blame the coaching. I think Person and Burke are in charge of the defense, so I blame them. The only help defense we ever get is a JO block shot. But he's probably had more opportunities than any guy in the league because we get beat so badly off the dribble, and then we stand there and pray that JO will block it. Where is the first line of help - it non-existant. When the point guard gets beat, the whole team needs to shift - and I see none of that

Sadly the defensive system reminds me of the Isiah years.

And there's your ballgame. We cut it to 80-71, Denver blitzes us with a 7-0 run and it's time to start resting for the Laker game Monday.

Jack was MIA tonight. Can't have that from your "shooting guard"

AesopRockOn
12-02-2006, 10:40 PM
So here's the deal: Foster, Jermaine, and Jamaal want us to win. Everyone else wants Oden or Durant.

Ok, I'm also jumping on the "**** Stephen Jackson" bandwagon.

Note: On Yahoo gamechannel, the Nugget's shot chart looks like an ampersans (sp?) and our shot chart looks like crap....can we just concede now, please?

9-9.

Beat the Lakers and goals will be met (10-9, and 3-3 on the trip)

AesopRockOn
12-02-2006, 10:53 PM
Think about this and try not to jump: we have 81 points after the third quarter and are down by 18.

We can't shoot free throws and our ability to foul Denver on the offensive end isn't helping either. But what is there not to complain about?

12-02-2006, 10:53 PM

Can we at least give Orien Greene extended PT tonight?

Lamar Mundane
12-02-2006, 10:59 PM
Anthony shoots, misses, everyone watches as he gets it back uncontested and scores easily, then gets back and draws an offensive foul which leads to a Boikens bucket. Ok, NOW I'm done. This team is horrible.

He wasn't really hogging it, but he was pretty poor at getting the team offense going. If his shot wasn't falling he would have been worthless tonight. I don't know what was up with him.

What I'm talking about is when you run a set and must feed the post, or PnR, or whatever, you've got to do it like you give a s***. Most of the night this didn't describe Tinsley. He looked like he was in slow motion.

Even his scores were this way. Those easy, lazy looking jumpers and some poor efforts on good inside looks.

Here's the best example of what Tinsley was about tonight. At some point in the 2nd half, admittedly with the game getting rough but still within range of a good effort, Tinsley came up court with his dribble and in traffic did a pointless wrap-around dribble. It was fancy as all get-out and a totally unneeded risk. Didn't result in anything, didn't set up penetration or a pass or anything, it was early in the set and there were more Nuggets back than Pacers. Just doing it "cause" I guess.

That was what his night looked like. A good shooting night with a scrimmage game mentality. Definitely not his finest hour, even though his box came out shiny. He was MUCH better the other day vs GS.

You serious, Clark? A behind the back dribble with 5 and half minutes to go, down by 20, with players at the scorer's table waiting to replace him sums up a 25 pt., 8 assist night? Come on, now................

It sums it up because it was TYPICAL of his plays. He made passes, dribble-drives, etc with similar careless abandon and apparent low interest all night long. This was just one of them.

I said I liked him hitting the shots, but like Jeff getting credit for tips by other players or tips off his own missed inside shots, his FGMs gave him a deceptively good looking line. Tonight was the kind of box for Jeff and Tins that other's might complain about for Saras or JO, where they think the stats didn't tell the true story.

In fact JO just had such a game vs LA. His box doesn't really show that he was often outplayed by Kwame and gave up way too many easy looks for Brown while being forced to make a lot of tough jumpers at the other end. Yes, good, he made those shots, but matching layup for contested fade all night is not how you win over the long haul.

And in LA you saw the same game from Tins but without his shot falling. Look at the result. Two very different box scores for him, but to me both games looked identical other than the makes.
