Quis is right! Kevin is shooting .911 from the foul line, .550 on regular shots, and .472 from behind the arc.

Nash is probably second. He's shooting, .907, .531, and .435. (same order)

Allen is .887, .447, .397.

I'll be interested to see how Martin does over the years. He's certainly a very good shooter but I put a little less stock in his stats at this point because this is only his 3rd season and the most FGA's he's ever had in a season was last year when he took a total of only 546 attempts (he did make 262 of them for a .480 percentage which is excellent for a guard). In Martin's rookie season he took only 117 FGAs, making 45 of them.

Over Allen's 11+ seasons his .447 FG shooting average has come while shooting an average of over 1,300 FGA per season when healthy, while being the number 1 or 2 scoring option on his Bucks and Sonics teams. He's done this while being the focus of the opposing team's defense for most of his career, like Reggie. :twocents:

Why did Jermaine just get taken out of the game after less than six minutes?

Wilcox has been taking it to Jeff, but mostly he's just been out of place. We've been jumpy.

We're catching up now.

Naptown Seth had to like that move by Granger. Tie game.

Anthem

Granger at the line, makes 1 of 2.

Lewis gets the lucky bounce.

Sonics are doubling Jamaal Tinsley in the post... Jamaal passes to Big Al for a 3.

He re-injured his bad ankle. He might come back though.

Thanks a lot Anthem.

It looks like we're playing weak D, considering 27 points and quarter unfinished. Also too many (missed) threes.

He got killed on the other end, but Baston saved him.

Turns out it's his hamstring, not his ankle.

Up by one at the end of the first. Not sure how close Daniel's shot at the end was. We got a lot of free throws but we've got to capitilize on that. Not a bad start but looks like we've got to lock down on defense like the last two minutes.

Yeah, the trouble is we've been trading baskets. Now, apparently, we don't know how to break a full court press.

Pacers are shooting 61%, the Sonics are shooting 53%. And both are on pace to allow 60+ points in the first half.

If we can just stop turning the ball over so much and start playing better defense, we'll be OK.

Destined4Greatness is right though, you have to admit. JO is injury prone. One month into the season and he already has a nagging injury.

Now, I'm not saying I want JO gone or anything because I don't. But it is very frustrating. I know, injuries happen to everyone and it's something JO can't control. But it is something that happens to him A LOT.

Those turnovers in the 2nd and 3rd quarters have turned out to be very costly. Possibly fatal.

But when it's too late of course Rick is going to let him out now... or not, even now

Trader Joe

Why doesn't Tins get the shot more often late in games? He rarely misses when he gets in the lane.

WOW what a flukey shot.

In his defense though, he almost never missed 2 FTs in a row, so he was kinda due for a little good luck.

GET THE HELL OUT WITH THIS INJURY PRONE BS! I NEVER WANT TO HEAR IT AGAIN!
Look, just because he hit a shot does not mean he's not injury prone. He's still a great player. But until proven otherwise, he is injury prone. It's not BS.

I'd go as far to say that his hamstring and ankle injuries were partly responsible for him shooting 5-14 from the floor tonight. I don't want to keep debating this, so I'll just leave it at that.

That said, turnovers and bad defense cost the Pacers the game tonight.

Wow who woulda thunk hed choke at the line twice. Throw some **** at the wall on the next possesion and actually have it stick.

Since when is missing one game so far this season injury prone? You're right I'm done debating it too. Cause right now I'm still trying to figure out how we are supposed to rally and win tomorrow.

Well that about sums up this game.

We have that many TOs, somehow still shoot well, but lose in the end.

If we had played against a team that could actually play D, we aren't in it.

I would have rather lost on the last possesion than have it end like that.

D tried to step up, but the rebounding didn't, and the O sputtered just enough.

*sigh*

Jon Theodore
12-02-2006, 01:10 AM
haha i love the JO injury prone arguement...hysterical. He clearly is injury prone and thats not even a KNOCK against him. It's his body it has nothing to do with him as a person.

Anyways, based on turnovers it in only fair we lose this game. We did NOT deserve to win. Tinsley is prob the most clutch player this team has, near the end of games he always seems to be able to find the bucket.

As far as JO making that shot, after years of being our go to guy you expect him to hit one of those shots someday. Tonight it wasn't enough.

Lamar Mundane
12-02-2006, 01:12 AM
I'm pissed about how this game ended too fellas. But you must admit, this team looks MUCH MUCH better than they did the first 3 or 4 games of the season.

More guys are stepping up, and they seem to be jelling. Not to mention JO is having great games even when he doesn't have gaudy scoring numbers. He looks like he's consistently getting those double digit rebounds that I was complaining about early in the season, lol. Plus, on D, he's been nothing short of incredible. Not just blocks, but taking charges at the right time as well (meaning, taking the charge instead of going for the block and fouling the guy).

And how about Al's play? I wasn't sure if he truly was going to be the big acquisition I was hoping he would be, and we can't say for sure that he is yet either. But he has definitely been stepping up. I wouldn't have minded seeing him get more touches as the game neared its end.

Even...dare I say it...SJax has been solid on D, though is offensive game is still not good, esp those 2 TERRIBLE shots at the end of the game tonight.

All in all, I'm upset about tonight, but confident we can go on a pretty good run these next few games. The games against the Nuggets and Lakers will be good tests to see where we're at.

I think we were horrible tonight in every aspect of the game except shooting. Bad defense, bad passing, bad decision making, and average rebounding at best. I don't think this loss was a positive at all.
