View Full Version : radio broadcast is the only way to go

Excuse me if this has been discussed before, and I am new to this site, but the TV commentary both local and national is just horrible.

Nothing personal against Al Albert and the rest of the TV crew, but I personally find turning down the TV and listening to Mark Boyle and Slick much more pleasing. They geniunely criticize the pacers when they are playing badly, and their excitement is infectious when the Pacers are rolling. Overall, they provide much more intelligent commentary on the game. The cliche'd approach of most TV commentators wears me out, and makes me mad at times.

Does any one else feel the same?

i would do that way more often if the time lag wasn't so bad.

Yeah, I finally started to do that, but that was just before TV got a few extra seconds of delay tacked on, so now it's not very watchable that way.

It's still worth it.

I'd do that, but I TiVo every game so its just to hard to sync.

That, and currently living in Chicago puts me waayyy out of WIBC's range (which ends, I think, at about Lafayette Rd. and Georgetown Rd.

I remember the theme music from those Pacers TV broadcasts of the early 90s. If anybody has that around, I'd be shocked. :o

The music was very saxy to say the least.
