I'm going to have to go with Gravy on that poll. I can put Gravy on just about anything.

I think we will win tonights game. Granger,Marquis, and Jackson will probably be rotating on Lebron all night giving him different looks defensively. As long as we take him out of some facet of the game, passing or scoring..we will win the game. If he gets involved in the offense on every play and is scoring at will as well as dishing out assists..game over for us.

I think we are gonna have a problem with Gooden today. Dont know why just get that feeling.

bnd45
11-24-2006, 09:08 PM
Rawle starting, Marquis and Jack both coming off the bench.

Guard rotation should be interesting to see tonight.

Is Al defending Gooden??????

bnd45
11-24-2006, 09:19 PM
On the bench.

Carlisle is still looking for that spark at 2 guard with the 1st unit.

BruceLeeroy

Marshall > Daniels

I can tell.

Arghhhhh these jumpers JO keeps taking gets on my nerves.

He sees hes better in the post, we see hes better in the post yet every game you see him taking more jumpers then working inside. JO should be main priority.

bnd45
11-24-2006, 09:26 PM
So much for keeping it close.

Murfdrag
11-24-2006, 09:27 PM
Jack is just an irrelevant insignificant jump shooter, not a slasher/athlete like Marshall.

ajbry
11-24-2006, 09:28 PM
Could we have started any worse, as usual?

******* it Jack, take it to the hole or post up. Same with you JO.

bnd45
11-24-2006, 09:28 PM
Hopefully Armstrong or Sarunas can catch fire and get the offense going.

BruceLeeroy
11-24-2006, 09:28 PM
Pathetic effort offensivly and defensivly. WTF do we always start off games like this? Obviously Marquis isn't the problem.

ajbry
11-24-2006, 09:29 PM
At least Jamaal feels like playing.

Murfdrag
11-24-2006, 09:30 PM
Jack is horrible, did you see that turnover?

Lord Helmet
11-24-2006, 09:30 PM

WTF.

Fireball Kid
11-24-2006, 09:34 PM
Why is Marshall starting?

bnd45
11-24-2006, 09:35 PM
Jack might have just played his worst quarter as a Pacer.

Sadly, the rest of the team wasn't much better.

BlueNGold
11-24-2006, 09:35 PM
Whose idea was it to construct this silly looking team. Nobody can shoot. Where is Cro, Peja, Reggie, etc?

Murfdrag
11-24-2006, 09:36 PM
Here we go AGAIN! Tossing up 2,500 3 point attempts. This team is going nowhere fast.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:36 PM
Why is Marshall starting?

Jax and Quise got a chance, Rawle deserves one to. Didnt fair to well but nor did Quise or Jax.

Murfdrag
11-24-2006, 09:36 PM
Granger thinks he's such a great shooter but he's not. The guy is overrated big time.

bnd45
11-24-2006, 09:37 PM
Cut it to 7 at half please.

Hicks
11-24-2006, 09:37 PM
Everyone,

I've already had to remove several posts. Keep it constructive, or don't bother please.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:37 PM
Isnt a fast flowing offense meant to help the team get layups and dunks. Why does it seem like all we take is jump shots.

Jump shots + no consistent shooters = recipe for disaster.

ajbry
11-24-2006, 09:38 PM
Seriously, what got into Danny's head this offseason? He looks like he regressed from last year.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:39 PM
well well well a LAY UP from JO.

BruceLeeroy
11-24-2006, 09:39 PM
Jax and Quise got a chance, Rawle deserves one to. Didnt fair to well but nor did Quise or Jax.

The games Marquis started he probably averaged 5 shots or less a game. I wouldn't consider him a failure just yet. Jack on the othe hand......

ajbry
11-24-2006, 09:41 PM
Jack on the othe hand......

Has an injured wrist... so what exactly is your point?

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:42 PM
The games Marquis started he probably averaged 5 shots or less a game. I wouldn't consider him a failure just yet. Jack on the othe hand......

Im not considering Quise being a failure in fact I was pleased with his performance because it seemed like he knew when he wasnt having his best game on offense and managed to get other things going in his game like steals and rebounds.

Jack showed me glimpses that he has changed but he has also showed glimpses of being the same old player. Wouldnt consider him a failure yet but he needs to realize theres better scorers then him on the team.

ajbry
11-24-2006, 09:43 PM
Foster looks solid thus far, nice to see some effort.

Murfdrag
11-24-2006, 09:46 PM
Foster is making Shade eat his words 2nite

BruceLeeroy
11-24-2006, 09:47 PM
Seriously, what got into Danny's head this offseason? He looks like he regressed from last year.

I thought Danny took too many jumpshots last year. This year though it's getting rediculous. I wish he'd develope some handles so he can start getting to the rim more often.

Defensivly and his rebounding seems worse this year also.

Fiesty keeping us close......sweet block by Jeffrey Mutumbo!!!!

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:48 PM
Foster NEEDS to play as much as possible tonight.

Fireball Kid
11-24-2006, 09:49 PM
I do not understand this. We have a front court of O'Neal, Harrington and Granger and we are still getting out rebounded.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:50 PM
It seems funny I actually thought Granger could one day reach Marions level of play. I like the kid but so far this season he has been so poor and I am most dissapointed by him then anyone else.

Last year wasnt people calling for the team to be blown up and build around Granger? Thank God that didnt happen I dont think he will ever be a star of a championship contending team.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:50 PM
These threes are a joke. How comes everyone can see this but Carlisle?????

ajbry
11-24-2006, 09:51 PM
So far...

- Jack is playing horribly.
- DA has 3 shot attempts, all from downtown, all missed.
- Danny has 4 shot attempts, 3 from downtown, all missed.

Ugh.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:53 PM
Im off. Dont think I can hack this game. Seems like it will be a blowout. I hope I come back and see it was a massive win highly unlikely.

BruceLeeroy
11-24-2006, 09:55 PM
Has an injured wrist... so what exactly is your point?

I think you probaly get the point.

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-24-2006, 09:55 PM
Before I go....did JO just make another layup? Funny what happens when you attack the basket. JO is the way forward in this game they cannot stop him.

11-24-2006, 09:56 PM

Hicks
11-24-2006, 09:58 PM

BlueNGold
11-24-2006, 09:58 PM

BlueNGold
11-24-2006, 10:04 PM

Did you see Tins bump Lebron after pushing off to get the layup? More quality play!

BruceLeeroy

Ant
11-24-2006, 10:35 PM
All right ! 1-7 for Jackson. At least hes consistent.

RedPitSea
11-24-2006, 10:35 PM
I cant believe how some of you give up on players so fast and call them busts so soon. Yeah I know im a little bias with Granger but come on hes a young guy who give his all night in and night out.The guys not a rookie anymore but he is still young and learning the ropes. If you dont like the guy ship him off and seee how much youll miss him after hes gone because you dont realize how many small things he does. I do agree its time for him to step up but for christ sake its still early give him 2 full seasons before you can judge any player.

AesopRockOn

AesopRockOn
11-24-2006, 10:41 PM

PacerFan31

rimock31
11-24-2006, 10:43 PM
Danny's gotta realize that if he's gonna become a big-time player in this league or even come close to living up to the Pippen comparison, he's gonna have to developp other parts of his game besides the three point shot. He rarely ever shows any skill off the dribble and doesn't seem to have put much effort into his post game. This is all besides the fact that his rebounding has been totally sub-par this season

BruceLeeroy
11-24-2006, 10:43 PM

I never wanna see him in another uniform. I notice all those little things you speak of and believe he'll be very good in this league.

Why is Gooden killing us?

Sorry some of you cannot watch. I am impressed with your dedication in following.

Gooden has shot the ball well, from what I saw. He is always pretty fierce on the boards.

JO just blocked Lebron pretty clearly IM biased O...and LJ went down to the floor and they gave JO a foul. ...now JO is at the line...

Ant
11-24-2006, 10:43 PM
Tinsley, The evil one, and Granger are a combined 3-22. Yeesh. I don't understand why Quis hasn't played a single minute in this game. Is he injured?? I try to like Carlisle but he makes it it so difficult.

lets win this game.

rimock31
11-24-2006, 10:45 PM
I'm sure if quis hasn't played a minute its due to injury. DA's been pretty unimpressive, maybe the grind of an 82 game season is getting to the old guy

odeez
11-24-2006, 10:46 PM
we have to bring that shooting % up and the CAVs should start to get tired, they played last night right?

We would be bottom feeders if it wasn't for JO. I know this is off topic but did Jermaniac get banned ??

rimock31
11-24-2006, 10:47 PM
you know you have a poor shooting team when Jamaal Tinsley is taking ur tech free throws

bnd45
11-24-2006, 10:48 PM
I bet Quis subs for Jack and Rawle gets a 2nd half DNP. Carlisle is still searching for the 2 guard combo.

BlueNGold

Note: the two major keys to Pacers success have been rebounding (keeping after Cavs' misses) and getting to the line.

On a positive note, we only have four turnovers in the game and are only down by two with 3 min to go in the third. Go Pacers.

i can only follow via the box score, but that's the amazing thing to me as well. our offense is still horrid (still shooting 30%) but we've held the cavs to 7 points so far in the 3rd with 2 min plus to go...

I don't think anyone here's giving up on the kid.......just saying he needs to expand his game.

I never wanna see him in another uniform. I notice all those little things you speak of and believe he'll be very good in this league.

I agree DG needs to make some shots and put the ball on the floor but its not because he hasnt worked on it in the off season. Give him time guys thats all im saying. I just always see a poster on here calling out DG but rarely calls out his man thats all. Come on Danny/Pacers!!

I usually just enjoy reading you guys (and gals) here, but I have to offer my humble opinion on a couple of things based on tonight's game.

1. Jack was run over by a car. Whether it was a Geo or a DeVille is irrelevant, but the fact is, the guy is still hurt, which is obviously affecting his shot. Yeah, his shot is falling like we'd like it to, but I've honestly never been more impressed with Jack. I can live with Jack having 3 for 11 nights, or whatever he was tonight, because as I watched the game, I didn't feel like he was forcing anything. He's finally playing within our offense, which brings a smile to my face. He doesn't have to be option 1 on the floor anymore, because in most cases, either JO or Al is on to be that guy. He's shown some additional things as well, the two most noteworthy being the fact he's averaging nearly 4 assists a game, and I don't recall him having any T's up to this point. Yes, it's only 10 games in, but he's proven himself well thus far.

2. Danny Granger is not meant to be a go-to-guy in the offense that we have. I think it's often overlooked that the guy still finds a way to score 10-12 points a night despite not having many plays called for him. Whether it be putting up 3's, or getting fouled after offensive rebounds, he hustles for the majority of his points with some coming off spot-up jumpers from good ball movement. He doesn't need to be "the guy" in this offense, and I am more than happy with his role on this team. Oh, by the way, he's in charge of guarding the other team's best wing guy, and I think he's done a great job of that to start the season.

3. Tinsley is doing a lot of things that are overlooked that are providing a huge lift for this team. Yeah, it's early, and we all worry about him being injury-prone, but he is running this team very effectively. I don't know how much of it goes to him be able to call some of the plays sometime, but the guy is doing a fantastic job. He got to the line 11 times tonight, which should tell us that he's not just launching up 3's like we felt he was last year. JT has an underrated post up game that I love seeing him use. He's stronger than we think, so I think he uses that to his advantage to go up against smaller guards. I think he posted up well against Nelson the other night, and did so well against Snow tonight. I don't know about you guys, but I'd much rather have him trying to score in the lane than shooting mid to long-range jumpers.

4. Great team game. Armstrong was a great pick up. Runi was feeling it, and it came at a good time. When did Jeff become a shot blocker? JO is having a start to the season where we overlook the fact he's second in the league in blocks, and just dropped 30. Didn't see much of Daniels, still hurt, I take it? I hope we keep Rawle around for a while, he's going to be solid in a couple of years. 7 or 8 turnovers tonight is impressive. We'll be hard to beat if we keep it under 10.

5. Sleep well, team. Enjoy your weekend guys.

Danny not getting into the offense along with Al is the reason why this team is falling behind early. I think that Danny should come off the bench and start foster with JO and Al.
