Garnett, got 1,219 points, including 120 of 123 possible first-place votes, in balloting by the Pro Basketball Writer's Association. Duncan, who won the award the past two years, got 716 votes while O'Neal was third with 523.

KG certainly deserves it this year, and congrats to JO for placing so highly in the MVP vote this season. :cool:

I don't agree with the assumption that KG and Tim were more deserving of votes/ points than JO.

JO did get two of the other three first place votes that did not go to KG. Peja got the other one. :dance:

Well considering Duncan was out alot during the season with an injury, JO should have placed 2nd.

Yeah, as much as I like Timmy, it seems like he got some votes based on face value.
