Let's Go Pacers!

I liked Runi's statement in the pregame. If his spot on the team is consistent as far as minutes and role, then his shooting and overall game will follow!

I hate how we're running our offense from the three-point line. I'd like to see Marshall or Daniels back in so we can have someone take it to the bucket.

Runi's having a pretty good game so far.

Runi knocks down a pull up jumper from the elbow. He has 10 now on 4-5 shooting. Timeout, 37-33 Pacers with 5:59 left to go in the 2nd.

I agree but I really wanna see him put a string of performances together. Too often he would have a good game then have a bad few games.

This game should be run through JO. Milwaukee have never had an answer for him. He really roasted them in our previous game.

Some really good passing going on out there too. Foster looks like Magic. Even if it's just for 2 minutes.

The last 2 threes that Bucks have hit we have gone straight to ther other end and attempted a three of our own (both missed). Why do we always do this like its the last few seconds of a game?

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-21-2006, 08:03 PM
At the half its:

Milwaukee 49 - 48 Pacers

Top Performer:

JO: 11 Points, 6 Rebounds, 1 Block, 1 Steal

Nice performances by JO and Saras so far, good to see.

Apparently Danny took that article on Pacers.com a little too seriously - 5 3-point attempts already?

That's somewhat misleading. At least 2 of those attempts were situations where the clock was running down and he had to put a shot up.

That's even worse, lol. It means our offense wasn't set up correctly so Danny tried to bail us out with his new favorite shot.

Hopefully it's just a little early-season phase of his.

JONeal's operating manual indicates that he should not play more then 36 minutes a game....any more minutes beyond that...and he is liable to start breaking down.

Saras started off great, but damn, taking 3 consecutive shots and missing all 3 is pretty selfish.

Wow, this coming from a person that supports Jack.

No offense man, but that doesnt make a whole lot of sense. There are many times where players other than Runi take 3 shots in a row and miss all of them. It doesn't make them selfish. They were all very good looks too. They just didn't go down.

Superstar? I don't think so. Having an occasional good game doesn't make him a superstar.

Looks like we're getting nothing from the shooting guard spot. Danny is having a bad shooting night. Tinsley has got four turnovers. This is a borderline playoff team IMO.

Yes. I'm also a bit displeased at the 14 shots overall. Jack and Al only have 11 each. Hell, even JO has 14. Danny needs to reign in his offensive desires.

I think you need to A: check out his 5 year avg, 4th in the leauge in pts/reb

LMAO at JO not being a superstar based on the 10 games this season where he is having to work with 11 new players and a new system as well adjusting his game to work to his advantage with his new weight.

JO is a top 3 or 4 PF in this league. He is a top 2 shotblocker in the league and thats not just based on this season, he has been consistent with his shot blocking year in year out.

great closing out minutes, great defense, Jax was great in the last 2 minutes, Al was great on rebounding and Jamaal made some key plays towards the end (lay-up).

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-21-2006, 09:28 PM
DA hit 2 free throws and JO hit 2 free throws in the final 10 seconds. Niiiiice. And Tinsley and Jax hit very big shots for us down the stretch.

Only downside is Granger constantly trying to hit threes and turning the ball over at vital times.

ajbry
11-21-2006, 09:29 PM
Great finish, solid victory.

JO played like the franchise player, Al was vicious on the boards even though his shot wasn't falling, Jack essentially put us back in the game and Tinsley put us ahead. Solid core effort.

If we would have lost that game I would have been pretty ticked at Rick for sitting Sarunas when he was nailing every shot he threw at the basket. I seriously think if we had Michael Redd on our team and he was 12-12 from 3 point land...rick would set him to make sure he cooled off and gave the other team a sporting chance at beating us. I know you have to build consistence with a constant rotation but as someone on here has mentioned before..it is a friggin sin to pull the man with the hot hand out of the game. Otherwise I'm very very happy we found a way to win that game that's nice to see, it has gotten to the point to where we get down by 8 with 5 minutes left and I can almost guarantee a loss that was refreshing. Looking forward to tomorrow nights game cause i'm home for the holidays and I can actually watch the pacers play.

I'll take credit! I stopped them on 88. (Grin)

It was way earlier in the game and the Pacers were stuck on 62 or 68 points and they let the Bucks run off a bunch of points. It ticked me off and I said, "At least stop them when they get to 88."

I just pulled the number off the top of my head. Then when they got to 88 and stopped it was hard for me to believe. True life coincidence! I couldn't believe it!

Will, for the rest of the game, continue to lower that number. As bad as our defense has been, we need any kind of help we can get! That's freaky!

If JO is not at least a "star" than I don't know what is. Beyond his spectacular stat line, the Bucks didn't even think about going into the lane when he was when there. His 8 blocks on Saturday really must have left an impression.
