View Full Version : Mike Brown

I figured somebody would have posted this today.

Sometimes when Jeff Foster has an idea for training camp next season, he takes it to assistant coach Mike Brown. But then he cuts himself short and says, "Oh, wait. You won't be here then."

Anybody think we'll be able to keep Brown? Two teams that I thought might make a push for him (Boston and Philly) already have coaches. How many other vacancies will there be this summer?

Golden State. Denver. Toronto. Atlanta. Los Angeles Lakers.

Do you think Brown will take one of these jobs? Do you think he'll stick around? The article seems to say that if the right situation came along, he'd take it. Would coaching in Atlanta or Golden State be "the right situation?" What other coaches will be out there this summer?

I think we're all assuming that Whatshisface from Toronto will take an "associate coach" degree if Brown leaves.

With so many coaching vacanies possible, it's hard to imagine Brown not getting a HC job.

I put it on the front page yesterday :)

I doubt Toronto will try and get him, after Carlisle ripped them so bad.

I think it'll be another year before he gets a job. Considering how poorly new coaches have been received lately (Musselman, Bzydelik, O'Neill), I think retreads like Karl are more in style this year.

If he does leave, I'm not sure if O'Neill will come or not. He's talked about taking a year off, but I think he's too much of a junkie. What he should do is do the tv circuit like Rick did to improve his image.
