Simple question. Is he able to be moved for fair value. What is fair value and what teams would want him.

JO and a pick to Jersey for Vinsanity?

Portland might want him back.

Maybe they bite if we offer JO/Tinlsey/Harrison/Greene for Aldridge/Jack/Magloire/LaFrentz.

Some things to consider if Jermaine is traded.

His value is probably much lower than you think.

- Injury Prone
- Overpaid (paid as a top 10 player, not a top 10 player)

How many teams would be able to give the Pacers what they want while matching Jermaine's salary?

Boston?
Maybe Theo Ratlif, Al Jefferson or Kendrick Perkins, cash and possiably Tony Allen for Jermaine?

Chicago?
PJ Brown, Luol Deng or Ben Gordon, Mike Sweetney, and cash. But would the the Pacers be willing to give the Bulls the piece they may need to win a championship this year? IDK about that.

Memphis?
I actually like what they could possiably offer. Pau, Miller, Jones, Warrick. I would be estatic if we got Warrick for O'Neal. Warrick has played well this year and his game is perfect for the way we want to play.

Lakers?
Would they deal Lamar Odom for Jermaine? IDK. It depends what they want. Do they want a more versatile player or do they want a low post scorer? But Odom/Mihm would probably get a deal done.

I think that if Jermaine is traded many would be suprised at what we would get for Jermaine. If Jermaine had good value he probably would not be a Pacer right now.

How about Golden state I like it but I am sure I would be in the minority

JO
Jax2
for
J-rich
T Murphy
Petrius

I like J-Rich a good guy and a SG that can shoot and I like Murphy with Al because I think they would complement each other well.

How about extending it to:

JO
Jax
Tins

for

B-Diddy
J-Rich
Murph

We would get a better, although equally frequent injured as Tinjury, PG and a better SG. Murphy is like Foster but with a good shooting touch so he could indeed compliment Al.

I go on the Golden State board quite a bit and the trade I stated is liked by many of the members on it. I don't think they would do the one with BD in it and they do love J-Rich but they would love to get JO. Petrius is filler he could be sub'd for Zarco? its just a expiring contract. But I really don't see us moving JO.

I think we can certainly get value for him, expecially close to the trade deadline to a team that thinks he's the missing piece to their championship run. Chicago, Golden State both fit this profile. However, just like with Dale Davis, we'll be rolling the dice a little bit, getting back a pick or two, young talent, and probably some sort of atrocious contract. His willingness to block shots and score less will actually help his trade value immensely, believe it or not. Also, staying healthy till the deadline will increase his value quite a bit.
