I hope that Greene can come in to give some relief to DA. Also.....I think that Sarunas will have a good shooting night tonight......the Celtics have been playing ZERO defense so far this season.

Prepare to be 5-3, GO PACERS!

Exactly....everyone scores to night. I wouldn't be surprised if SJax scores 15+ points tonight ( I'm not being sarcastic here....I really think that the entire team will shoot and score really well tonight ).

I just hope we play some decent defense.

15 is still below average for Jack, but I'll take it at this point after his bad shooting start.

He has shot bad, but that's pretty normal, at least his selection has gotten a little better, and he's playing well in other aspects of the game!

I personally like Ryan Gomes of Providence...
Go Pacers! I'll be there (and I'll actually be square too, so go figure)

EDIT: (I left)

AesopRockOn

Lol @ 1-6. Why the hell isn't Delonte given a bigger role; Doc Rivers is the worst coach in the league, i think.

I'm assuming 15 points ( at least ) on a less then average # of FGA....meaning he will shoot much better then normal but be more efficient with the # of FGA that he has been taking lately.

Sebastian Telfair is not anywhere near a starting quality point at this point in time and to be quite frank I am not sure he ever will be.

Agreed, lol. Paul's just feeling it. Nothing you can do really - he'll fadeaway, step back, drive to the hoop, whatever. It doesn't matter who's on him when he's hot.

How many players in NBA who ever had quadruple-double?

4, Nate Thurmond,Alvin Robertson, Hakeem & The Admiral

Slick Pinkham
11-15-2006, 08:46 PM
The Quadruple-Double is a basketball term, defined as an individual performance in a game in which a player accumulates a double digit number total in any four of these categories: points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocked shots. In NBA history, only four players have recorded quadruple-double performances and they are:

Nate Thurmond, October 18, 1974, Chicago vs. Atlanta; 22 points, 14 rebounds, 13 assists, 12 blocks.

Alvin Robertson, February 18, 1986, San Antonio vs. Phoenix; 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 steals.

Hakeem Olajuwon, March 29, 1990, Houston vs. Milwaukee; 18 points, 16 rebounds, 10 assists, 11 blocks.

David Robinson, February 17, 1994, San Antonio vs. Detroit; 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, 10 blocks.

11-15-2006, 08:51 PM
What's the halftime score?

Speed
11-15-2006, 08:52 PM
First half break down.

Again no defensive control of the boards, ridiculous, is DD around?

5 FT attempts in the half, where is that team that dominated people at the line? The Pacers should have a parade to the line with there weak front line.

Nice job getting a decent shot almost every time, lots of easy stuff, could be a function of Boston who doesn't play D or just nice flow and unselfish play, I guess both.

Saras is really in a bad place, looked like he hurt his shoulder, I bet he's done for the game and we may see Greene take his minutes tonight and in the future.

Second half should be more of the "stars" asserting themselves, look for Pierce to get to the line 12 more times, JO to get a hard double, but hopefully get the Boston front line in deep foul trouble. JOs career high on Assists is 7 this could be a night he breaks that personal best.

Pacer adjustments, don't get fat and satisfied with easy baskets, step up the defensive intensity they'll go quietly if you make it hard. I like to see them extend the defense out to about 25 feet, except for Rondo I'd not even play him inside of 17 feet, it will blow his confidence, take away the penetration. Get Al some low post looks and tell Al to not settle for the jumper even though he is hitting it. And oh ya, and BOX OUT!!

Boston adjustment, play some kind of defense and double off of Tinsley's man every time it goes in the post to JO.

Prediction-Pacers in a tight on by 4.

Sarunas may have trouble bringing the ball up, but at least he can catch the inbounds pass. Tinsley was probably too stoned to realise it was coming his way. Wow is he horrible

J_2_Da_IzzO
11-15-2006, 09:10 PM
Everytime Al gets the ball it seems like he just wants to attack the rim or shoot straight away without thinking. Well done to him for making a majority of his shots but its obviously not helping this team.

If JO can play teamball then Al has to.

Id want it in Tinsleys hands 10 out of 10 times. Hes not the best shooter but he CAN drive and dish. Creating an opening for a teammate. Thats something Runi cant do.

With 10 seconds left I doubt Runi would even be able to hold on to the ball for that period of time without chucking it to the stands or getting it stolen.

0 offensive boards, lots of turnovers, no energy, poor shooting but other than that we're playing pretty well.

It's pretty sad that this team has been off for 3 days and has 0 energy. They just showed the bench and it looks a lot like a flash-black from last year's team.

The more things change the more they stay the same.

Yea? So? Thats not so bad, Reggie shot once 0 for 12... still he is one of the best shooters ever?

What im trying to say is that Wally IS a great player and a great shooter who likes to run off screens and score, Pacers need that kinda plays and they certainly need at least ONE pure shooter dont u agree? :)

Besides, dont look just at 1 game... look at his stats:

Okay, that's great, but that Reggie example is so irrelevant. I could shoot 0-for-12 in an NBA game but that wouldn't mean I'm equal to Reg or Wally.

Sure, Wally's a decent player, but he gets a chance to shoot quite a bit here in Boston and he's done well in that role as the #2 option. I wouldn't want him over Jack though.
