PACERS PLAYOFF UPDATE

On to Round 2: The Pacers swept the Boston Celtics, 4-0, to advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the winner of the Miami-New Orleans series (tied 2-2). The sweep was the Pacers' fifth in their NBA playoff history, the first since they swept Philadelphia, 4-0, in the 1999 conference semifinals.


Tickets Available: Tickets for the Pacers' first two home games in Round 2 are available at the Conseco Fieldhouse Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets, the Internet ( www.ConsecoFieldhouse.com or www.Ticketmaster.com ) or by phone at 1-800-4NBA-TIX. No dates or times have been set, pending the conclusion of the Miami-New Orleans series.


Postseason honors piling up: After winning the most games in franchise history (61), the Pacers have been recognized individually in the postseason. Ron Artest was named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year, along with being the leading vote-getter for the NBA's first-team All-Defense (voted on by coaches); Jermaine O'Neal was named to the second-team All-NBA; Artest was named to the third-team All-NBA; Reggie Miller was named the winner of the J. Walter Kennedy Community Service Award and Rick Carlisle finished fifth in Coach of the Year balloting.


Time To Rally: The Pacers and Emmis Communications will have a "Rally Into Round 2" Thursday, April 29, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Fans can pick up the official Marsh/Bank One Pacers Playoff Poster; shoot free throws or spin the Pacers Prize Wheel for prizes; see Boomer, Bowser and the Pacemates and have an opportunity to win Round 2 tickets, courtesy of Marsh and Bank One.


Time To Rally, Part II: Friday, April 30, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., another "Rally Into Round 2" will take place at the Marsh Supermarket, 146th Street and State Road 37. WIBC's Joe Staysniak will be doing a live broadcast with the Pacers' radio team of Mark Boyle and Slick Leonard on hand from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Former Pacers player Derrick McKey will be on hand from 4:30 to 5:30 to sign autographs. Marsh/Bank One Pacers Playoff Posters will be available, as well as opportunities to win prizes shooting free throws or off of the Pacers Prize Wheel. Boomer, Bowser and the Pacemates will be on hand and fans will have a chance to win Round 2 tickets, courtesy of Marsh and Bank One.


Poster Pickup Points: The Marsh/Bank One Pacers Playoff Poster will be available Friday, April 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Greenwood Mall Food Court and the Circle Centre Food Court. Saturday, May 1, the poster will be available at the Bank One branch located at 565 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The Pacers Prize Wheel will also be there, along with a Pacemate appearance and a chance to win Round 2 playoff tickets.
