Every game that passes with Sarunas running the point and the more times he turns the ball over...and over...and over.......the harder it is to support him as a viable long term backup PG option behind Tinsley.

He has positives to his game.....but his negatives far outweighs those positivies.

Mark and Slick just said that Eddie's team in Russia folded

I wonder if he got to keep his bonus rubles.

Seems like food poisoning happens a lot with us. I remember JO and Tins having it last year.
It's extremely common across the NBA. Most people assume that this and "flu-like symptoms" are often euphemisms, perhaps for "hung over" at times though certainly not always. It also works as a catch-all I think.

hopefully this is true.
It is. There was a thread here or at the Star about this within the last week. Old news actually.

I forget which team he ended up going to. Was it the Dynamo that folded and he went to a different Moscow team? I semi-sure that's what it was.

My only fear is that he'll win the Euro-league MVP and Bird will resign him. ;)

Naptown_Seth

Thanx aero, I think - we should provide Pacers Girl with the netcasting software ;)
Someone needs to provide Columbia, SC with it first.

Well, you wanted up tempo, it naturally comes paired with the companion piece, the turnover.

This is why Rick has always been so intent on controlling possessions and getting the most from them. It's slower, but it typically doesn't result in 30+ TOs.

Bad news, Pacers play them next week when it counts. Worse news, the Bobcats pounded the Pacers with turnovers last year too, so its not a fluke.

does anyone have the boxscore?
No live stats coming out of Columbia, they aren't equipped for it I assume since they aren't a normal NBA arena.

1 game left to get it together. JO and Daniels played, which is progress.

Offensively this team should succeed with a balanced attack, but I worry that JO and Al playing together will hurt their games more than it helps.

Baston's line was impressive considering he only got limited minutes. The final cut is getting more and more difficult for Carlisle to make.

That line for Jasikevicius is painful. 21 minutes, zero assists, four turnovers and three points. Hell, even Harrison had an assist...

The Gift's line looks nice, though :)

*removed*

Turnovers killed us....but more importantly...I'm guessing that Felton killed both Tinsley and Sarunas on the defensive end.

Although 6 turnovers is pathetic ( was SJax being guarded by Gerald Wallace ? )......at least SJax scored some points and contributed. Tinsley and MOST NOTABLY Sarunas.....sucked it up with 4 turnovers each....and scoring a combined 4 PTS.

I know its preseason....but I'm not entirely confident in this team...specifically the PG rotation. Tinsley is the starter....but he's not healthy enough to play on a regular basis. I don't even know if Sarunas can back him up.

Can someone get me the official Lottery-protection for the Draft pick that we traded away for Harrington?

Slick and Mark were raving on Tinsley so I guess something looked better courtside than the stats alone. ...Altho I believe they were talking more about his entire preseason, not just this game. Maybe MBoyle will elaborate/clarify.

JO plays => Pacers Lose.

Anyone noticing a pattern?

We lost tonight because of the turnovers....not only cuz JONeal played. If anything.......its more apt to say:

When Sarunas plays more minutes then Tinsley and against teams with quick defensive minded PGs that hound him => Pacers lose.

But to further your discussion.......when JONeal plays.....did we revert to the "Dump it to JONeal and pray that he scores and/or passes the ball out" offense?

or

Are we doing something different with JONeal in the offense in this up-tempo game?

I didn't watch the game....so I don't know what happened with JONeal.
