And Sarunas delivers.
Haha, yeah right. One assist doesn't make up for the rest of the game/preseason/career hes had.

An assist isn't "delivering" as much as the person who actually scored. Also, it doesn't matter nearly as much if it's like the 5th or 6th last possession of the game, compared to the last.

Just stop son, you are incredibly irritating.

20 second timeout is over.
I wish I could see a boxscore.

16.1 to go.
Wright misses a 3.
Powell hits some FTs.

That's about it.

Oh yeah.

Final Score.

The starters played well. Tinsley and Harrington came through with another solid performance. Jack had a very efficient 20 pt. night and Granger delivered his breakthrough game we've been waiting on. Foster filled in for JO and I'm sure he grabbed some nice boards.

Armstrong outplayed Sarunas and did a good job of keeping us within striking distance during the end of the 3rd/beginning of the 4th. Runi did make a couple of plays late, but the negatives outweighed the positives for him again tonight.

Harrison clearly is going to always be foul prone, but he did get some buckets. We need him to contribute around 8 ppg.

White and Williams stepped it up when it mattered most and dominated the final 4-5 minutes of the game.

Marhsall didn't play much, but I'd still keep him over Baston, who did less.

Ack, still no boxscore.

I do know that Jack and Al were responsible for a good chunk of our points in the first quarter. Powell and Marshall did okay, but didn't do as well as they did the previous game. Flight and Shawne really carried us in the last 2 minutes of the game and helped us win. I like what I saw from those two. Glad we won though. I hate seeing us let go of 10+ leads. Hmm, Danny looked better than he had been. It sounds like Tins looks good and he liked to run a lot in the first quarter. Overall, it was a good win. Our first close game of the season.

I'm hoping JO and Quis can play in the next game.

Listening to post game with Mark.
-5 players in double figures
-Jack lead in scoring (20 pts)
-Danny had 18 pts
-13 players played, 12 scored

Real Pacers fans don't bash a player of their team constantly, like you (and some others) do.

If you can promise to lighten up on Sarunas I will ask Hicks if you can stay ok?

Jackson seems to have a nice game today and is clearly getting accustomed with the team game after game. So credits to him.

And I don't bash him every time, and most of the times it's in defense of all the Sarunas rants which go on day after day.

From now on I will be positive (and realistic) about every player of our team, I hope you can do the same.

I'd be positive about Sarunas if there was something to be positive about. He can't shoot, he can't dribble, he can't play defense, he's not athletic, he has no upside cause he is almost 30 years old, might even be 30 now, he can't lead, if anything he looks to be a pain in the butt to most players on the team. The only thing he is good for is the occasional nice pass and a good relationship with DH, who hasn't exactly played well either. Look I've tried to give Sarunas a chance I really have. I gave him and everyone else a clean slate at the start of preseason. He has shown me nothing, absolutely nothing to be positive or excited about. I'm sorry I wish Sarunas the best, I just want him out of a Pacers jersey ASAP and furthermore I am going to be very angry if keeping him on the team means that Marshall or Greene gets the axe. He is nothing but a third string PG with serious deficiencies in major areas of his game.

Jermaniac

Seriously what about trading Harrison for a 2nd rounder? Someone could want him, this guy has done nothing this preseason. Actually I would say he has gotten worse since last season up to now. I dont know if it because of the weight he lost, or what. But he isnt doing nothing to prove he deserves to play in the rotation.

Ronaldinho doesn't play much defense either but ok, he can shoot, dribble and is more athletic than Sarunas. Either way, Sarunas will stay on our team so let's be a little less negative from now on and wish he improves his game in the regular season. At least in the shooting category, because that's a weapon the Pacers could really use.

I'm not too worried about Runi. He'll be fine as soon as we get to the regular season. These preseason games are really meaningless. You can tell by watching that the games are not as intense and that the players that are on the squad already are either just playing to get to the regular year or working on their games in game conditions. Runi's shot will return as soon as his legs come back. Right now all the running the Pacers have been doing in training camp has created some dead legs with some of our players. The first thing to go when you have no legs is your jumper. Even then it's not like his 3pt shooting is off. Including today's game he is 4-11 on 3's in 4 preseason games. He's averaging 3.5 assists, which is great for a backup. His turnovers are right at 2 a game and that's acceptable for a backup. On D he is much improved also. I'm not worried about our 1's, they have the potential to be as potent a tandem as Jackson and Best was. Throw DA into the mix and that's a solid bunch.

The real issue every Pacer fan should be concerned with by far is if Jax is going to miss most of the season while standing trial and possibly in jail. That more then anything else could affect our season negatively.

I agree.....thanks for Pacers_Gurl for the game recap  .....its way better then anything I could have gotten from SportsCenter.

What happened with Tinsley? Based off of Pacers_Gurl recap....it looked like Sarunas played ( and turned over alot of balls  ) well....and did a somewhat acceptable job running the 2nd/3rd unit....but with a lot of mistakes. I agree with whoever said that there was some positives at the end with Sarunas.....but clearly...his negatives far outweighted his positives.

At this point....I suspect that DA will play more minutes as Tinsley's backup against teams that have solid defensive minded Guards ( like Detroit, Charlotte or Orlando )....with Sarunas playing more backup minutes against teams that don't play that much defense ( like NY or Toronto ).

How good was Shawne Williams? He got 11 points and 6 rebounds on 5 of 7 shooting with only 1 turnover in just under 17 minutes. How can we not keep this guy when he's already showing this kind of efficiency and rebounding ability?

Runi is just not the same player under NBA rules and settings... I guess he's just not built for the league. I'm a big fan of his, but reality bites. Maybe old dogs can't learn new tricks. He's the Euroleague prototype PG I guess but in the NBA he's a servicable 2nd string at best.

The Wolves were the home team although the game was played in Moline, IL.

CableKC & wintermute, it's always fun and I love doing play by plays. Glad you enjoyed it.

Tins just sat out after awhile he ended with 6 points and 5 asts. After that Runi and DA were sent in for the rest of the game. Runi only had 4 TOs to his 5 asts, but the second half was really sloppy so it made it seem like he had a lot of turnovers.

1.Preseason Games Are not as intense as regular season games, you are right. And that should be the perfect reason why he should be out there lighting it up from the field and not having problems dribbling the ball.

2.Dead legs because Pacers are running. Let me clue you in on something, the Pacers are going to be running the whole NBA season thats 82 games. This is the preseason if he already has dead legs then he doesnt belong in the NBA.
