:woot: Go Pacers!

Al isn't playing because of assorted bumps and bruises. Tins will play off the bench tonight. Quis will not play tonight. Orien won't play for the rest of preseason.

For the poll, I moderately disagree.

Saras really isn't helping his cause here. He's 1-5 from the field so far, just got blown by on defense for a layup, and then almost lost the ball bringing the ball upcourt.

I really hoped that he'd come back much improved,

According to Mark Boyle, travelling violations are going to be scutinized much more closely this year.

JO is playing the same game he always plays, but he's going to have to stop shuffling his feet.

I look forward to travelling being called closer to the rules. I also like the new rule that you can't hang onto the guys next to you when you are on the lane during a FT attempt. Now, your hands have to be right in front of you.

I think enforcing carrying more closely is a good thing too.

It's going to take me awhile to get used to seeing guys get called for traveling so easily now.

I do like the new rule about hands being in front. It irritates me to see guys put their arms all over the other guy to try and prevent them to get the rebound.

Well, the "hop" is the problem with wing players. The "post-up-foot-shuffle" is a completely different problem, and that's for the indide guys.

Two different plays with the same call: travelling. I hope both are called closer to the rules this year.

WOW - Has Tinsley forgotten how to play?

This isn't the Tins I remember from the IT years. I thought he would be great at passing the ball up on the break. Instead, he's throwing it away most of the time.

ajbry - I feel as though you feel the need to defend Jackson on every little thing someone says, just because you've firmly placed yourself in that "Jack corner".

Just because he is your favourite player does not mean you can't find faults in his game or decision making, etc. We know he's your favourite player; don't feel as though you have to prove it anytime someone says something negative about him. I have favourite players, yet I have no problem acknowledging where they could improve in areas.

Please don't take this as a personal attack. But just remember, there is nothing wrong with having an objective point of view. Don't constrain yourself to be locked within such partisan borders.

I certainly acknowledge his faults, and take no offense to your post.

He needs to improve his shot selection and needs to look to pass more often. His on-court attitude in regards to the refs needs to be dramatically improved as well, unless he has changed that this year, we'll see.

However, unfounded conclusions about how bad he is are unacceptable to me.

Sounds like even you can find a lot of things wrong with Jack. Sure he averaged 22 PPG when JO went down, but most of the time Jack brings our team down. When he's our first option, our offense just doesn't run well.

As far as being in a bad situation like that, I would much rather see Tinsley step up offensively like he did after the brawl than Jack try to do a lot more (if JO were to go down).

Very true. His efficiency would be a bit better, I would assume, if he was the centerpiece of this team, as he was in Atlanta in 03-04. However, if he fills in as #1 for JO (which shouldn't be a problem with Al here now), the offense just isn't set up to provide him with the most appropriate oppurtunities.

Needless to say, let's just hope JO, Al, and Jack stay healthy. Those 3, in complementary roles to each other, will cause a lot of damage.
