Sorry it took so long to get these posted...I was in Indy on business and was lucky enough to get to go to the game...

BTW, it took me almost an hour of arguing to get them to let me in with my camera with the 75-300mm lens on it. The only reason I got it in at all was because a season ticket holder heard me complaining about having to check it at guest services. She said her son got hassled with his too, and then another guy (long haired, season ticket holder, name of Shane) who had the next lower model of camera than me, but with the same lens, said he got hassled too. They had a security guy call Bob somebody, who's the head of security at Conseco...He came up and I explained my case. The lady that made me check the camera saw me talking to her boss, and she suddenly feels cooperative and brings my camera up to where we were talking....Bob takes one look at my camera and tells her that it's FINE, and tells her, "Give this guy his camera, NOW!"

So, after all that, we made our way up to our seats, Sec. 113, Row 1. Since it took so much to get my camera in (although I've been assured I will not be questioned again, my name is on file now), I had to take about 550 frames to make it worth all that trouble!

On to the photos....

=======================

I like the new warmups, but now that people have brought up the fact that the back looks like a sports bra, I'm not so sure...

Big Al was giving the fist sign back to a guy who was pretty excited to see Al back in a Pacers uni....I echo his feelings!

My obligatory opening tip shot...

"Too bad you're inside the half circle...This palm of my hand to your chin is gonna be a foul on YOU...."

HULK SMASH!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8700.jpg

At least Runi found somebody he can mostly stay in front of....Unfortunately, he's a guy who has a plastic pelvis...

'Quis uses a Net as a lead blocker....I think that guy got called for a charge on his own man!

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8708.jpg

Uh-oh....Runi has that look in his eye....

Maceo looked pretty good I thought...That dude for the Nets needs to cut that nappy *****....

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8719.jpg

Runi was giving out orders....I bet he likes having a boatload of guys who have less seniority than he does...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8721.jpg

I REALLY enjoyed seeing the ball moving up court a lot faster....Harrison might think about how many rebound/putbacks he could get if he was the trailer instead of the OBSERVER....

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8726.jpg

No foul there....two refs watching, neither had a whistle apparently...

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8728.jpg

I liked seeing this kind of action...

Reminds me of MagicRat's "WonderTwin powers activate!" photo....

http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/heywoode/101106%20Nets-preseason/IMG_8852.jpg

These guys were STOKED to be in the building....They were pretty fun to watch....They somehow got one of the Nets players to hang behind the basket as they were coming out for the second half shootaround, and he finally had to just walk off because they woulda kept him there all night posing for photos...Once they got the shots with him, the guy in the PACERS GEAR sprinted up the aisle pumping his fist like he won the lottery...I was happy that he was so happy!

Does Runi always focus on the flight path of the ball?.... or just on FTs. It would certainly help his FG% if he focused on the rim.

Awesome pictures, Heywoode.

I just finished watching the game. Crazy thing about Shawne Williams that I never knew. I guess he went to Laurinburg Prep in highschool. So that would have been a couple years ago...which means my brother would have played against him. How cool is that - being able to say you played against a Pacer.

Awesome pics, Heywoode! Love the opening tip. I love all of the new athletic players running around on the court.

I really don't understand why people don't like Sarunas. His game is one of the more fun ones to watch on this team. And I'm certain he'll be better conditioned this year.

p.s. Heywoode...pics...awesome...thanks!

p.s. Heywoode...pics...awesome...thanks!If getting killed on defense and not being able to get the ball across halfcourt and hit jumpshots is fun, the Sarunas is Richard Pryor of basketball.

If great passes, great court vision, easy baskets, good shooting, and slowly turning up the tempo of this team is boring then Sarunas is my quantum theory professor.

Where the **** do you see good shooting at? It damn sure isnt from Sarunas.

I see it in his first-half stats, which I think he can reproduce for an entire year this time around.

Ohh okay, first half stats. I forgot about stats for 2 months, yes first half stats. Ron Artest was also MVP of the NBA 2004-2005

Haha. Yeah, you're right.

Hey, I think he hit a wall. I hope he hit a wall. I hope that wall won't be there this year.

Am I the only person who thinks if Baston and Saras (at PG) are on the floor at the same time it will turn into 2 vs. 5 ball?

Just like DA and Marquis won't share the ball when they're on the floor? Saras and Baston played together on another team but honestly I think Baston probably gets along better with some of his fellow countrymen now that he is back here.

DA is a seasoned PG and Marquis has shown in Dallas he is a team player. I was just thinking that since Saras is so used to plaing with Baston (and Baston will more than likely have to get used to the NBA game) that they will look for each other as "security blankets".

I didn't even look at the jersey. I assumed it was Armstrong. He is thiner. Even his head is skinnier.

Great pics.

BAH, don't let those chump haters change your mind. I like the new warmups a lot.

BTW, I love the SarJas-Tinsley double PG backcourt. There are a lot of good things that can come from that attack. I'm sure some wimpy SarJas stalker will complain about him at SG, but honestly when he and Tins played together SarJas wasn't running SG sets, it was a true double PG style with the ability to shift the ball attack position on simple rotations, basically from wing to wing almost.

Freaking playbook was so deep too, a lot of new stuff over last year. I'm surprised they were able to learn so much already.

Loved that transistion spacing too. Guys moving hard to spots in order to force defenders to choose well before the ball got into the area. It created most of those pretty transition scores and oops.

Last year they always ended up stacked on each other which allowed 1 defender to guard several players.
