Looks like Danny Ainge traded Dwayne Jones to Cleveland for Luke Jackson. Some cash and a trade exception are involved too.

I know the Pacers, or Bird, were high on Jackson...I assume the injuries and lack of a pulse probably killed it. If Jackson and Jones can get traded, I really have to think that we could scrape up something if we wanted to move Foster or Tinsley. Our Jackson is still probably unmovable.

No, I don't think that Bird was ever high on Luke Jackson. That was a decoy because he was really after Ben Gordon in that draft.

Kudos for showing restraint and not titling this thread "Jackson Traded!"

Yes, I thought the same thing. Thank you.

Wow, there's giving up on a guy, and there's giving up on a guy. Dwayne Jones?! Trading a 10th pick for a D-leaguer? Wow.

MAn, I still feel sorry for Luke. Being buried on the bench for one team, then traded to another to be buried on the bench. Poor guy. Why couldn't he have gone to someone like Atlanta or Minnesota, where he would have a chance to play and shine? I think the kid is going to be a gamer. He's just had a string of bad luck.a

Luke Jackson, a swingman who was the 10th pick in the 2004 draft, was traded from the Cavaliers to the Celtics for center Dwayne Jones.

Jr Rider, Spreewell, and Rasheed all got traded, strange things can happen.

AND I'd like to agree with Doug and Kegboy.

I wish we could have gotten him.
