I have a friend who said she would be willing to go to Vegas with me in Feb. for the ASG if I wanted to go, so I decided to look at some ticket prices.

I only looked at stubhub, but bleacher seats are going for a thousand and lower section seats are going for as much as $8000.

Is this common for an ASG? Is there any chance the prices will come down over time, or am I basically going to have to pay this price no matter what time of year?

I've never been to an All Star, and I really don't have much desire to go, especially at anything approaching those prices.

As far as I'm concerned the ASG is a waste of time and money. You'd be better off taking the money you'd spend on the tickets and gamble in the casino instead. You stand a pretty good chance of getting a better value for your money (JMO).

UB and Grace,

I tend to agree with you.

I asked her if she would like to go with a couple of co workers when we go in December, but I forgot to leave the "we are going in December" part in the text message I sent her.

So when she called me back she asked if I was going for the ASG. That's when I decided I would at least check it out, but both of you are correct. No way in hell would I pay that much money for ASG tickets. I better get some other forms of "entertainment" if I am going to be paying that kind of money..............
