Today's "It's up to us" is Rick Carlisle. That's the first time I've seen this one.

Hopefully someone can post a scan or grab it online someone to post.

Here's the text-

-----------------------------------------------------------
This season, it's more than just about X's and O's

It's about 40 years of Pacers basketball

It's about our ABA beginnings

It's about McGinniss, Daniels, Smits

And Reggie

And the brawl

It's about looking to the future

With veterans like JO, Tinsley, and Harrington. And younger guys

like Granger, White, and Williams

And writing a new chapter in our team's history

as well as a new contract extension

-Rick Carlisle

Ok... I added the line about the brawl and the contract extension... ;)
But the rest are accurate (and I bolded the same line that the ad does).
It's in today's Star- Page D3

How many people are going to notice certain players are not included in this ad and draw conclusions from that?

Talk about unintentionally (I think) adding fuel to the fire.

Very unintentional, as you know who is a Carlisle favorite....assuming you meant you know who..

Obviously someone saw the original ad that had a you know who reference, but that person decided it should be taken out. Why? "If we leave you know who in what would the message boards have to talk about?"

Actually, while I was reading Bball's transcript, I was thinking of multiple guys that were left out.

For example:

Veterans: Foster, Jackson, Armstrong

Younger: Harrison, Daniels

Obliously, for the sake of space, they can't list every single player in the ad. But I did figure that it would raise some eyebrows as to who they chose to mention, and who they chose to not mention.

Jackson is who I first thought of as being left out. But I also found it interesting that Jamaal was left in.

Foster also was left out

You mean a pretend wife like Katie is for Tom?

Oh, a different kind of beard.

They have really done a great job, haven't they?

The pictures they have chosen to use for each ad all have underlying messages and symbols within them as well. It's much better than the entire "One Goal" thing.

So's Freddie. At least I think that's him in the corner.

Rick, JO, Stephen, Jamaal, Danny, Freddie. I guess that black hole is supposed to be Al. ;)

I LOVE this campaign. They have me sold. I can't wait for the home opener, I hope Al's return brings a sold out crowd and then Danny whoops Peja's ***.

I have to say I am glad to see this. It shows the organization has respect for history and what the Indiana Pacers have stood for over the years. Sure, some of it is motivated to keep the seats filled, but I truly believe the people in the organization really do care and that this is not simply a sales pitch.

The mess this team has made of itself the last couple years cannot be laid on one or two guys. Management had a big hand in it, as well as the players. It is good that they all appear to be taking responsibility for it.

I expect this season will be the year we climb out of the pit.
