It's probably not going to happen, and even if it does, it'll be at least 5 years from now probably.

But, just for fun, some potential names for the potential Vegas expansion team:

The Las Vegas Rhinestones (imagine the uniforms)

The Neons

The Flying Elvises

The Swingers

The Dicemen

(I can't think of anything good at the moment, just trying to get the ball rolling).

I'm picturing purple-orange velvet uniforms with rhinestones, sunglasses and huge collars

I'd rather name the team's "dance squad". I'm sure they'd be the post popular group in all sports. :D

Man, I'd love it if Vegas had a proball team. I've been screaming forever that it would be a great idea. Recruitment sure would be easy.... :D

Seriously, it would be in line with our other teams. UNLV has the (Runnin') Rebels, our Arena Football team is the Outlaws, and our ABA team is the Rattlers. We've also got the Gladiators.

I'd go more along the lines of the Las Vegas (One-Armed) Bandits.

Bandits is cool.

Never having been to Vegas let me be the FIRST to sign up for any future Pacer fan road trips to see the P's play in there!!!!

I love all these names but I DO think the NBA would frown on any name even remotely referencing gambling.

I like "Vegas Strip"

though that name opens up some intriguing entertainment possibilities for their cheerleading squad...

NBA betting is why Stern hasn't given the team a franchise yet. So gambling names are definately out.

"Bandits" might work, though. And it's a veiled reference to gambling (a "one-armed bandit" is a slot machine).

That's funny I just bought my tickets for my own little Vegas excursion in March. :)

In my honor, I nominate the Las Vegas Burritos.

It's so absurd and random, it just might have a chance.

Mustangs..... named after the "ranch".

That's good, except the ranch was outside Reno, not Vegas. Although the Bunny Ranch is not too far from Vegas.

Maybe the Las Vegas Bunnies, or the Las Vegas Bunny Ranchers.
