The inspiration for this trade comes from Chad Ford's mock draft, version 3. He has Boston taking Rudy Gay at the #7, but says that Boston really doesn't need anymore younger players, and will probably use the pick to trade for a veteran, a PG, or a veteran PG. So...with that in mind, I thought of sending Tinsley and our #17 to the Celtics for their #7. But that didn't get through RealGM for some reason. But it does work with Anthony Johnson. I would surely do it, and I'm sure Larry would. But I don't see it happening from a Celtics perspective. Heres the trade breakdown.
Also, if Gay was available, I'd use the pick on him.

The Celtics wouldn't go for that.
They would probably ask for us to take on Wally or Reaf's contract with them getting maybe Croshere or Jackson/Tinsley.
I think it would be very hard to get the Celtics 7th pick unless we take on Reaf's or Wally's contract and I hope that ain't happening.

I would heavily consider AJ/17th pick/Jack for Wally and the number 7.

Me too. That'd be sweet. I'm thinking maybe the Celtics might deal with Philly too for AI. But the only thing there is I'm not sure Philly would deal AI to an Eastern Conference team.

I don't think Boston would think A.J. is worth dropping down 10 spots. But then again, this draft class is considered such a shot in the dark, maybe they would. I'd certainly do it for sure.

Anyone who makes $2.5mm and outplays Jason Kidd six straight games will not be traded. This draft is simply not that good. If you can put tins in there instead then that would be something different.
I would love to see us get Shelden williams. Something baout the duke PF that no one is high on coming out. Could be another brand or Boozer.
