Chris Quinn is one of my favorite college players, but he is not an NBA player...period.

None of those names really excite me. James White would be alright at 45. Shannon Brown is a good talent, but not the guy I want for Indiana.

Although raw.. Shawne Williams could really turn into a real find around the middle of the 1st of Rd.

On the Josh Boone Draft Express page I caught this little blurb..

Best Case Scenario - Emeka Okafor
Worst Case Scenario - Jeff Foster

lol ;p;

I think I could live with the worst case scenario.

I was thinking the exact same thing.Though I think his best position is small forward, he has the athleticism to play two guard and if he's there at 17 I think from a talent perspective you have to take him.

You can pretty much count out any of those players in the first.
Maybe a second round pick. The Pacers will not work out who they really want.
Although they did work out Granger, oops.

If we want another "Jeff Foster", we'll take James Augustine in the 2nd round. But, to be a complete homer I hope we get a SG in the 1st round and Dee Brown in the 2nd.

Thanks for asking, Roberto. Anthem's cartoon is right but a bit unclear.

Yes, the first is correct. Apostrophes are used both for the possessive form and for contractions. This sentence is an abbreviation of, "The cow has gone bad." So, "cow's" is correct.

Apostrophes should never be used for a simple plural.

For those who've seen him play, is he really just Fred Jones with a jump shot, as he's been described?

that's what i think of both MSU guys really...i'm not the biggest fans of drafting either one, i'd rather draft Shawne Williams or a big guy

ALSO...

Aaron Afflalo just withdrew from the draft

(which i think is better for him)

Seems like we've always worked out the guy we drafted, but nobody knew it at the time. I think that's Donnie's MO. If you see a guy listed as a guy we worked out, I think there's a 100% chance we're not taking him if the Pacers released the info, and a >50% chance of us not taking him if he said he worked out for us. Donnie keeps it secret, that way nobody can get a gauge on what we're planning to do with our pick, including trading up/down.

Dee Brown or James Augistine in the second would be good.

The thing that always gets me is that every year, we find out about guys that we worked out that were never on our official list. In fact, I don't remember the last time we drafted a guy that was on the official workout list.

Not on the workout lists, but add Rajon Rondo to it, as it appears he has worked out for Indiana...

Rondo essentially is in the same situation.

He worked out for 11 teams (Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Phoenix, Sacramento, Indiana, Washington, Minnesota, Toronto, New Jersey and Seattle); his range is a bit wider than Williams'.

"I'm all over the board, anywhere from seven to 25," Rondo said.

Fred Jones was on the official list. So was Tayshaun Prince. I still weep about that one.

With DW/LB's reputation for being covert in their draft plans, I find it interesting that we knew all along Williams and White were on the short list of players who worked out for the Pacers. Alexander Johnson, too.

It gives more credence to paying attention to these lists in future drafts if you want a good idea of who we'll draft.
