I think Dee Brown would be a great 2nd round pick, assuming we plan to trade some of our PGs.

The drawback is that he will probably measure out shorter than nbadraft.net lists him (6'0")

http://www.nbadraft.net/profiles/deebrown.asp

At the risk of getting a brick thrown at me, the anti-Jeff Foster, a big who is deadly from 15-25 feet who can fill in if Pollard leaves and is a 4-year college player who exels under pressure, is Pittsnogle. But don't look at his rebounding numbers. They are Smits-like.

In the second round, we could get Pittsnogled.

I'll tell you what, I want to draft a point guard in the 1rst round for sure. (Although I wouldn't mind Rudy Fernandez)

I'd like to get Jordan Farmar, more so than Kyle Lowry. I like Farmar's natural point guard ability. Also wouldn't mind Serigo either but he is a distant third in my book.

So Farmar with the 17th pick.

Then at 45, I think that you go with another guard. Dee Brown is possiable but I would like a 2 guard. Brad Newley is a guy who recently shot up on my draft board. I never saw him play but I read great things about him. I especially like what I read about his work ethic and competitiveness. Bobby Jones is also a possiable pick here. Another opition is to draft a international big and have him play overseas.

Suns don't have a 2nd round pick this year, and it would be a reach for him to go in the first round with their picks at 21 or 27, but yeah, he would be a good fit in their system.

nebody else besides think that Dee Brown is WWWAAAAAYYYY UNDERRATED

ranked 45?!?! atleast give the guy an early 2nd round.... but if he does go close to 45 that would mean the Pacers have a chance at him... and that would mean the pacers get even more young talent :)... and if Carney does fall far enough for the Pacers that would be great... if the Pacers could get Carney and Dee Brown i would cry tears of joy

If memory serves me they said Danny would be a top 10 for sure and nbadraft.net projected him as a 7th pick..... another steal for the Pacers???...

but of course when we drafted Danny people were having problems thinking about his health because of his injury

I was reading the profile on Ronnie Brewer....and I think he maybe someone that we can trade up for.....he's projected to be anywhere between 8 to 11.

I like what he can bring to the team....excellent defender.......long reach.....athletic slasher and drives to the hoop.

Unfortunately, I think it's a height thing with alot of people. I have also heard people downgrade him because of his last season, but really think about, he was playing with Deron Williams, Luther Head, and the Rev, Roger Powell,Jr. He had to start from the beginning with everbody but Augustine. I think that Dee played sensational under the circumstances.

Yes, I admit, I am biased; I root for the Illini and he bascially became the face of the program. However, Dee is the 'one man fastbreak', and I wouldn't want Carlisle to ruin his development.

I just really hope that he and James get Drafted, and if it's to us, that would be awesome.

Personally, I think starter-wise, we are set at the 2, the 3, and the 4. I think we'll be seeing Danny, Peja, and JO there next season. I think we should look into drafting a true pg and ball distributor. I like Mardy Collins because of his size and the fact that he stays on the court. Of course my preference would be Marcus Williams but I'm not going to kid myself. Kyle Lowry isn't half bad either. Rajon Rondo...eh.

The Griz own the 24th pick in the first round of the June 28 NBA draft.

"We think that's an area we want to look at in the draft," said Tony Barone Sr., the team's director of player personnel. "We want to investigate as many combo guards as we can find. A combo guard to us is a guard who can absolutely play both positions. We want someone who can survive at either position."

Enter Illinois' Dee Brown, who Friday helped give the Grizzlies what Barone described as the organization's best workout since arriving in Memphis.

Brown displayed deft shooting and exceptional speed throughout a session with Rutgers' Quincy Douby and South Carolina's Tarence Kinsey.

Brown easily proved himself as the most electrifying prospect.

"Those are very hard guys to find because if you're trying to convert a shooting guard into a point, then that's next to impossible," Barone said of combo guards. "And most point guards aren't big enough to play shooting guard. Strength is the No. 1 attribute you're looking for in these (combo) guys."

The Griz will resume pre-draft workouts Tuesday.

I was hoping he would stay rated low so we could possibly snag him in the 2nd.

There should be a few decent snags available in the 2nd round this year.

Does anyone think there will be a player like Bracey Wright available in the 2nd round this year? I mean he led the D-League in scoring and averaged 9 points in only 19 mins. while playing in the league. He scored 19 points during his only game he was able to play significant minutes (34 against Memphis) He also rebounds and passes well for a two guard. (averaged 4 assists and 4 rebounds a game in the D-League) So who do you guys see as being the stand out 2nd round player this year?
