This one is really good :D

They should change the team name to cavaliers to suit them better :D

Problem is, the Cavs have never had a "hit."

And before KStat barges in with his comeback, I'll go ahead and say it.

Neither have the Pacers.

I'd make a comeback, but I'd have to make sense of that to begin with.....

Winning only one championship in 2 years is a mark of shame? Did I miss a meeting?

Haha, it's really funny, but I hope it's not true. I actually really think they deserve it, but I Love Avery Johnson, and the Suns; wow, I guess I really just don't Miami to win. It's wierd, I like almost everybody on Miami, except Shaq.

I agree 100% with this. The Pistons have been competitive for what, 5 years? They've won the East twice, the championship once, and now they have the best record in the ECF. Not exactly one-hit wonders. Anything but.

The picture is priceless though. Really funny. Even if the joke makes no sense.

Obviously, the Pistons have had three straight really good years. And they even won a ring. But, it will be sort of a shame if that's all they get out of this team that certainly had (and still does have for a few more years) the ability to win two or three championships over a five- to six-year period. We'll all remember their "good run" as perennial contenders during this Era, but without at least one more title to show for it, they'll never stack up to the All Time great NBA squads.

Just look at these guys:

Three finals appearances and two more ECF appearances; but only one ring to show for it. And that's why the Dr J. 76ers are a distant fourth to the Lakers, Celtics and Pistons of the 80s.

Similarly, let's all hope that the legacy this Pistons team creates from it's one ring in '04 is overshadowed by the Pacers three-peat from '07-'09. :-p

It's wierd, I like almost everybody on Miami, except Shaq. I actually get what your saying. I pretty much, just want Shaq to loose. I have really liked Wade ever since his rookie year playing against us in the playoffs. Shaq is to cocky and gets away with way to much.

Fine, but the 1983 Sixers are still the best team ever, IMO.

I'd put these teams as the best teams I've ever seen.

1983 Sixers
1986 Celtics
1987 Lakers
1996 Bulls
2001 Lakers

I was three at the time so I really can't call it, and my point isn't that those Sixers weren't one of the Top 5 teams ever (from everything I've ever heard they clearly were). NBA diehards will always hold those guys in the highest of esteem. It's just that there legacy would be a lot different if they'd won even one more ring. There's surely no shame in losing to Bird or Magic, but I'm pretty sure the Doc would be just that much higher on everyone's rankings if they won in 1980 as well.

For the Pistons, it's even more important to win one more ring. Plenty of people still think that the 04 Lakers lost that Championship more than the 04 Pistons won it. Again, real NBA diehards know what happened, but legacies aren't always built on reality.

I just know that, as a big 49ers fan, it's pretty dissapointing in hindsight that Steve Young only won one ring. Fact is, they were right there every year and just one tiny notch below the Cowboys. But the Cowboys won three rings to the Niners one in the mid-90s, so they are the team of the decade and we're the guys that couldn't beat the Cowboys. (And yes, I know complaining that the Niners don't have more rings is a little ridiculous.)

And if the Pistons don't find a way to win another ring before these guys all get too old, they'll be the team that couldn't beat San Antonio or Dallas or whoever else. And very few of us will remember that they were far and away the best team of the 2005-2006 regular season.

I don't think that's a reasonable criterion. There were no repeat NBA champions from what, 1969 until 1988? The fact that there wasn't a dynasty during that era shouldn't be held against them.

The Celtics, Lakers, Bulls, Pistons, and Rockets are the only teams to win back to back titles. Only the Bulls,Lakers and Celtics are the only frachises to win 3 or more titles with the same core of players. Very few teams win titles, so to put down a group fro only winnig one is a joke. This group has won as many as that "storied" franchise called the Knicks.

The picture is funny even if the joke is dumb.

Man the picture is from detroit fans. They will be dissapointed in the team if they don't beat the Heat. I think the Cavs jolted the Piston's confidence. They certainly aren't the same group early in the year.
