Pretty good, ey?

*this attempt of poor humor can only be comprehensible by those who are in understanding of the common "ey", that is followed by most declarative statements and/or interrogative questions made by our friendly neighbors from the North - Example: It's cold outside, ey?*

You're right. In Canada it's "hoser."

I've got some friends in Northern Michigan that say "poser" like Yoopers say "hoser." Messes me up to hear West Coast slang in a Yooper accent.

Steve Nash, after winning his second MVP award, reminds kids to "look both ways!" when crossing the street.

Nah, it's all in good fun. I got a couple of good laughs from some of the posts.

Reminds me of a funny show that used to be broacasted on our public broadcasting channel: CBC. Rick Mercer's Talking to Americans. He would go around interviewing random Americans on the street, and lead them into answering questions that were complete misrepresentations of Canadian society/government/life to see if they would catch on. Some of the answers and responses he got were just hillarious.

Here's a website with some short clips from the TV show: http://home.comcast.net/~wwwstephen/americans/

He even gets George W. Bush as you can see :D - Yes, I realize that there were people who were more informed and actually caught Mercer on what he was trying to do, but obviously they aren't going to show those instances. It's still funny stuff, nonetheless.

What interests me is the fact that this show was endorsed and broadcasted on our own public broadcasting channel, CBC (which we basically pay for through tax dollars). Says something about Canadian nationalism if you ask me...

Seriously, though, is this some kind of eye condition?

If so, why haven't I seen a million heart-tugging "Steve Nash is an inspiration to all young children suffering from Eye Disease X" pieces yet...I don't think Craig Saiger is too busy.
