Name one...just one player or coach that you would love to see in a Pacers uniform (or suit) next year. Keep in mind you should name a person who you believe the Pacers have a resonable chance to acquire.

Mine is Sasha Vujacic/guard/Lakers

Francisco Elson. He can be had for cheap and I feel...is a younger version of Dale Davis.

TPTB should be looking at someone who will bring some personality to this team. Some identity. Right now we're like an abstract painting that you can't get any sense of what it is.

Draftwise....I have no clue in the 1st round....but in the 2nd round....Bobby Jones.....surprise surprise....a very solid perimeter defender.

A dominant 7+ footer, thats what the Pacers need the most. (who? i dont know!)
But also if Peja dont resign they also need a damn SG who can not only SHOOT, but is the best at it, because he will be the only Pure Shooter the Pacers actually have. (kindoff Ray Allen)

The only player above that I think can be REASONABLY had is Brian Cardinal cuz his contract is fairly large...but has been injured for most of last season.

This doesn't mean that I wouldn't mind having him.....I remember him from his day's with the Warriors.....he's a hustle type garbage energy type player like Foster. Unfortunately....he's also limited on the offensive end and has pretty big long term contract.

Ben Wallace.
A nasty, intimidating, rebound machine alongside JO.

Michael Cooper.

I may be insane, but I still think he could come in here, even with this exact same roster, and do some wonderous things. Not saying I want to keep this roster intact, but if anybody could get these nimrods to play together, I think he could.

A 'big man' coach somewhere either on or in the immediate vicinity of the bench.

Jared Jeffries, Jason Terry, and Joel Przybilla.

I heard that Jared Jeffries is a pretty decent defender....and can probably be had if the Pacers are willing to pay a little extra.

On top of that....it was rumored that Larry Brown wanted him as well.

I agree on both counts.

I've gone through the list...and there are few players on the list above that the Pacers can reasonably get....mainly cuz of $$$ constraints.

Let's face reality here.......the Pacers aren't like the Knicks.

On top of that...all the draft picks that are suggested here can't be had unless we trade up....way up.

Why? We already have hustle/garbage player in Jeff Foster......

I was about to type the same thing, but I think Jeff is better. I don't have a choice to bring to the team right now, but Nazr Mohammed scares ma a little. I'm not sure that the system in San Antonio hasn't nade him look better than he is. He is a good player, but they do have the luxery of not playing him if they don't need to, such as the end of the series against the Kings. He will probably get offered more than we can afford any way.

I know Brian has bad knees. Jeff has a bad back and bad hips. If both dove to the floor I think Brian stands a lot better chance of being able to get back up and keep playing.
