DON'T BECOME COMPLACENT!
They became complacent. Well, along with the refs giving the nets oral pleasure.

Hicks
04-23-2006, 02:02 PM
Kidd is completely leaving Sarunas alone on the perimeter to double, and we're not passing to him at all. That last time he was wide open and Jack forced into an offensive foul instead.

04-23-2006, 02:04 PM
Those Nets ball kids suck. Put me in there!

This is the first time the home team has trailed so far during the playoffs. Why?

bozzwell
04-23-2006, 02:13 PM
Well this Indy team is much more fun to watch then the regular season one. And outside of SJax and Jones nobody is haveing a very good game (yet).

I know this is not going to be very popular opinion around here but I like what Carlisle is doing out there with game plan and adjustments. The areas where Indy has clear advantage are bench and coaching. If JO gets it going it may be a short series and long summer for the Nets.

Bball
04-23-2006, 02:13 PM
I'm trying to decide if JO is really having a bad game. He's not forcing anything and he's allowing other players to score while he remains a threat.

We're better off if JO goes for quality, not quantity (of shots) IMHO.

Maybe he's having a good game?

Chiming in at half time...

I love playoff-Jack. Well, I love him so far. I hope this is a sign of things to continue. He is moving his feet well on defence, and forcing Vince into some real difficult shots. He's not fouling him when he drives for the most part, which is just making VC look silly trying to draw the foul.

We need JO to stay out of foul trouble. When he leaves the game, there is no one who can help out on defence on the rotations when guys like RJ and VC are driving past their defenders. I hope JO can stay out of foul trouble this half, because I expect Vince and RJ to be much more aggressive.

Danny needs more playing time. Oh, and Freddie was playing an outstanding game out there. Did anyone see him rebounding? He was a machine. It looks like he's had to change his shooting mechanics to compensate for the injured hand, but whatever he did is working for him.

Keep it up boys!!!!!!!!

Yes - very true.

As George Karl said, winning game 1 is easier to do than game 2 on the road. We really need this one, because if the Nets go up 2-0 on us, we've seen how mentally fragile this team is in the past. I just don't know if they'd be able to win both at home in Indiana being down like that.

I normally agree with your JO theories, but thats complete crap.

We need JO to live in the post and open up our outside guys so they can get open 3's, and we need JO to hit a jumper every one in a while.

Ernie doesn't look so good....

I noticed that as well.

I think he said something about cancer earlier this year, a really good guy, but he was still his usual self on the half time show.

Of course, the half time show was focused 110% on the nets.

Why I watch WB4.

I think Marv Albert is calling the game on TNT and he's a damn Nets local announcer......

But it is in HD on TNT-HD.

Advantage TNT. I can watch the game and figure out what is happening for myself... and see more of it... and clearer... in HD

I assume TTV4 hasn't made an arrangement to use the HD feed/cameras.... And even if they did WTTV-DT doesn't reach here. :(

We need JO to live in the post and open up our outside guys so they can get open 3's, and we need JO to hit a jumper every one in a while.

As long as JO remains a threat and forces the defense to respect him then he doesn't have to score a lot (if the other guys do their job). OTOH, if the defense decides to slack off O Neal to take away some other things, and he THEN doesn't 'live in the post' (read:score effectively), then things get dark quickly.

We shut down VC, but then Krstic goes off on us.

Lord Helmet

Ok, so we go in the paint and get hit and no call, Kristic goes in and hits a lay-up and they give him a foul, too?

Pathetic.

They are just going at Peja and we can't do anything about it.

That's what's great about Peja, even when he sucks he gives at least a little bit of something.

I think we have played the better game so far, but we have been unable to sustain any sort of run to put distance between us and the Nets. If we are unable to put a good run together here at the end of the third, or in the fourth we will not be able to win, IMO.
