This is the "How well do you Like..."thread. There's been alot of , in the truest since of the word, 'playa hatin' goin on, and I think it can be attributed to how we're playing. So, I want to know if you like the particular player the thread is dedicated to based not on how they play, but just how you feel and think about them. This way, maybe we can find an official general consensus.

Today's Player: :sarunas:

I predict "No" winning by about 2-1.

I think it'll be close due to all the Lithuanian Saras fans.

I dont like him one bit. Since day one, when people ****ed on Tins and AJ because we got this guy to come here, how they made him sound like a king and the greatest PG since Magic and how he would be this savior. And all he turned out to be was a little better then Eddie Gill.

Never in his life will he be close to Jamaal Tinsley.

Eh. I don't dislike him. But I certainly can't say I like him after he opened his mouth one too many times for my tastes, or Rick's for that matter.

Push.

Even though he sucks on defense, he does bring good things on offense.

Yeah like multiple wide open 3 point shot misses. Good things of course.

Not only is he not a very good leader, ballhander or oncourt tactician, he's also a terrible shooter.

I hope this isn't a prelude of things to come under Bird's fist of terror.

Don't like him, for reasons previously stated by Jerm and indytoad.

I like him for his playmaking abilities, his attitude and his competitiviness.
I don't like Pacers fans who only see the negative aspects of his game.

I feel that he ain't getting credit for the things he has done in the past. It was Bird who praised him as the missing link to a championship, not Sarunas himself. The guy only wanted to prove he could belong in the NBA.

This offseason he will work hard on his defensive weaknesses, and while he will never be a lockdown defender, I'm sure he will come back stronger next season.

Your words reveal your "intellegence" and your "basketball one on one IQ".
I'm tired of you, really.

I like Saras.

Say whatever you want to say, but he has a decent rookie season considering transition from Europe, Rick and Artest.
I believe that if he will be in a right system next season, whever in Indy or elswhere he will show tremendous improvement of his game.

Going for three in a row, like Maccabi Tel-Aviv.....

Hey, it appears you were wrong. Remember Yao?

What a lot of the euros don't get is that a lot of us do like Saras, but not the fanboy attitude. I suspect this is part of where the 2-1 comes from. I bet without the influx of CPK, his rating would be quite a bit higher, i.e. we would still harp on his faults, but hope for the best next year. As it is, in order to balance out the rose colored glasses, many of us take the opposite tack.

I like what he brings off the bench, his enthusiasm and drive, that spark that's contagious. That said, he has limitations. Despite more PT, those limitations don't go away. I voted yes and am hopeful for the future.

This reminds me of back in November when you were "sick of all the haters", which consisted of me, and, well, me. Jay and Jerm hadn't even jumped on the bandwagon back then.

He will be back in Indy next year.

EDIT: I've got a feeling.

whats the difference, europe or america? when tinsley achieves at least half as Saras did, when you can compare them.

Jermaniac

When he does those things in the NBA I will give him props. I dont care about what he did in Europe. He plays for the Indiana Pacers in the NBA, and he isnt doing nothing here.

Sorry but Jamaal Tinsley has enough talent to stay in the NBA he doesnt need to go over to Europe for 11 years to get NBA ready.

I'm not.
Why? Due to fanboys?
