View Full Version : I like this latest studio group on ABC

Dan Patrick, Scottie Pippen, and Mark Jackson.

They don't have a lot of chemistry (yet?), but they all know their stuff, and Dan gets to more interesting discussion than all the vanilla clowns ESPN/ABC usually has.

He point blank brought up Scottie Pippen's incident when they were talking about what Ben Wallace did the other night, for example. And just in general, they cut to the chase instead of fluffing around the whole time. Nothing mind-blowing, but compared to what ESPN/ABC usually delievers, it almost is.

Anyone else agree? Disagree?

As long as BW-word isn't commenting on the game....then I don't care who is the pre-game show.

J/K...sort of......that lineup seems to be good. I just don't like it when Bill Walton and SAS are doing commentary. Both just like to talk for the sake of talking....

I think Dan Patrick is stiff and severely overrated.

haha the Rip/mask segment was hilarious :))

Gotta love the Tayshaun/Reggie block. Thanks for showing that, ABC.

Yeah, they seem pretty solid. Anything that keeps SAS and Bill Walton off the air makes me happy. :)

I'm not a big fan of Scottie......

I like them but I don't think they know what they are talking about when it comes to the Pacers. But then again, It's better then hearing Bill Walton talk about Jermaine ONeals favorite movie or repeatedly saying World Champion.

I agree. To my surprise, Scottie Pippen is good and has personality.

Nothing amazing, but they weren't annoying, so it works.

I like how they get to the point and deliver the info. No beating around the bush.

I agree, it is by far the best they have, and I agree with both Pippen and Jackson on their comments about the Pacers, they are soft

Hopefully Mark Jackson will have a new job next year as head coach of a certain midwest dysfunctional pro-basketball team with blue and gold colors.

I cannot stand Dan Patrick. To me the sound of his voice is like fingernails on a chalk board. :shudder:

I'm not exactly thrilled with the other two either.

I've come to the conclusion that the only pre-game group I like is Mark Schanowski, Norm Van Lier, and Stacy King.

I've enjoyed what little i've seen of them. Pippen seems to tell it like it is.

i just listen 2 the radio. how can walsh let an effort like today happen in slick's golden years? screw your tickets! last 3 games i paid for have been blow-outs w/ the team just being lazy. and if the orginaztion doesnt see how much of role model miller was and doesnt build a statue i WILL disown this franchise!!
OH, and i do like pippen & jack, so i'll be glad 2 check em out. not a big patrick fan, but i do beleive he deserves big network love. im just kind of into giving people what they earn
