We will lose this game. When you cant beat the Knicks at home then you damn well cant beat the Pistons. If we stay within 15 points of the Pistons, I will be suprised.

I have a feeling we'll do well. Remember when we looked over our schedule and someone said "we'll probably lose to the Knicks and beat the Pistons"? Well, that sounds totally reasonable to me. We are that inconsistent. I can't believe we missed the Rasheed suspension/Big Ben "Scottie Pippening it" game by one though...amazing bad luck.

Actually, as of late, we've been very consistent. Consistently terrible.

When we're on the same page, we have the capability to play the Pistons well. But we're not even close right now. The only chance we have today is if we turn it around right now, or the Pistons lose interest since they have the #1 overall seed all but locked up.

I predict the Pistons by 20+.

I wouldn't be surprised if AJ starts....and Tinsley backs him up. I will even go a step further....and say that Tinsley outplays AJ...and a new "Tinsley is misunderstood and should be starting for us" thread.

Just kidding....sort of.......I don't know who is gonna be the backup PG....I'm more concerned that Sarunas will be pressured continually on the defensive end and won't be able to bring the ball up.....:censored:

I just hope that Carlisle can adapt to the situation and play Sarunas first as the backup PG...then if it doesn't work.....put Tinsley in.....or vice versa. Its more that if we are down.....I'm hoping that Carlisle can try to shake things up.

The way I see it, at best, the 2-5 positions are a wash. And that's if our players are at the top of their games, and Detroit's aren't. Billups, however, should eat our PG position for breakfast.

I figure, we're gonna lose anyway, so I want Jack to have a good game.

Honestly, I don't expect to see Tinsley again for at least the rest of the regular season. I don't believe he's seriously injured. I think he's either being disciplined or flat-out refusing to play.

To be honest, guys, this is easily our biggest game of the season. And not just because it is against our rivals, but because it is the last chance at a "statement game" this season. The remainder of our games are against sub-.500 teams.

This game can either serve to be the launchpad to a turnaround, or the straw that broke the camel's back and left it limping into the playoffs.

It's because people actually switch on defence. It's not like you're guarding the same guy non-stop, no matter what. The game calls for you to switch covers occasionally...JO has had to cover Ben when it has been called for. People switch, that's how basketball works.

Jermaniac, why JO, beeing undoubtably best PF in East, also beeing NBA superstar, is leading Indiana to 3-9 streak after his recovery? Where is his leadership?

Did You know, that last 10 games Tinsley started PG ended 1-9 ?
So give a brake to rookie playing what - quarter of a game in average during last 10 games?
I am starting to think You are

And to all the other Runi antifans - give Runi next season 20 games at PG, 35mpg, Your team will have 14+ victories. If he goes under 10, trade him.
And now - just SHUT UP. Runi wasn't given a real chance YET to run Pacers. So there is nothing to talk about.

Why is there always a mini-battle about Saras in every damn thread?

His fans need to realize he ain't the only player on this team.

I stand corrected. Jack failed to rotate on that last shot, but Cro should not have had to rotate over. Jack can't stop Ben. That was Jack's fault, as Cro had to pick up his man.

JO has still failed to block out 3 times so far today, though. We need him to step up on both ends of the floor now. He needs to start playing like a franchise player.

How do you miss that, JO?

So are you willing to admit that JO should have boxed out Ben on that one there? See how they had to switch?

his haters need to realise he's not the only average deffender in the team.

we never start it. in fact, we try to stay out, but this is just too much.

Pacers are trying hard to get that first round match-up with the Pistons.

Does Jack EVER hit a shot after taking more than 1 second to set up?

I'm not a hater. And his defense is below average.

Im a pacers fan not a saras fan, been one since 85. The dudes getting a unfair deal though. He's one of the only guys having a good game and people are talking about his defense which hasnt even been that bad. Hunter would be doing the same thing to any other of the bums we call pg's.

In other news, the sun came up this morning.
