All of this blaming on Saras for not defending Lindsey earlier in the game is silly.

Lindsey caught fire. He's a streak shooter. I've seen him do it to the best defensive PG's in the league. Saras was contesting his shots - it would have been the same with AJ or Tinsley. Even Lindsey said at half that he was just feeling it today.

I'm not a hater. And his defense is below average.
I know your'e not a hater Shade, however, I find it hard to understand why a 5 ast 5 pts 0 TO in 9 minutes has recieved only remarks about the below average defense (which I agree on). Also Saras is not the blame for the points gap. His plus minus today is -2, which I think is better than most team members.

I'll try to give him the benefit of the doubt that Lindsay was just "in the zone." May as well put him back out there and see what happens. AJ can't stop anybody either, anyway, and he's NOT A FREAKING POINT GUARD! :pissed:

Evan_The_Dude

Yeah Sarunas sucked on Lindsey but at least we consistently scored some points with him in there. I think the starter should be Sarunas so we can get early offense, then go to AJ to get the stops we need. We should just try it the other way around.

Was that offensive board by Ben Wallace, Jermaine's fault too? I'm sure it was. Jermaine needs to go up and rush the jumpshooter and also box his man out 10 feet away from him. Jermaine's fault.

Why doesn't this coach play Sarunas?

Jermaniac
04-09-2006, 02:37 PM
Nah that was Jermaine's fault, lets just blame it on Jermaine. It works for everything. Blocking out, blocking shots, scoring, passing, not passing, shooting FT's, passing out gatorade and towles, our bench not playing good, our coaching not being good, our chemistry being bad. Just blame it on Jermaine.

What else have I blamed him for besides not boxing out?

I think he's done a great job on the helpside defense with blocking shots. I like the fact that he has been more aggressive on the offensive end (even though he's been unlucky once he's got to the rim). I like the fact that he's been looking to pass out of the double team with more regularity.

The Pacers are doomed until we trade JO or install a system where he will not be the focus, and not be expected to be a leader.... and will accept that.

Otherwise, there will always be friction and a leadership vacuum that other players will naturally be swept up into as JO continues to fail to meet the requirments of a true leader.

He's dumb as a rock when it come to decision-making.

Its mostly his shot selection. He hasn't been a very good perimeter shooter for a while. He gets hot once in a while. He needs to focus on midrange shooting and driving to the basket, that seems to be what he does best.

I think the Spurs would disagree with you.

Jack is one of the only players on this godforsaken team that has been healthy and actually gives effort on a nightly basis. He's streaky and emotional, which makes him an easy target during times of losing. That's it.

Really, that must be why they didnt pay him the money he wanted after that championship season. That was a long time ago , I live here in SA and he did play a vital part of that team. But thats the past, he somehow got it stuck in his head that he's a premier player instead of a role player, plus now hes gotten comfortable money wise and i dont think hes as hungry as he was then. Yes hes durable and gives effort, I'll give him that. But that it, he's absolutely terrible at everything: shooting, passing, dribbling, basketball IQ, turnovers. He does nothing well and make us a much worse team when hes on the court so who even cares if hes durable. Look at the guys FG percentage and turnovers on a nightly basis, hes much more of a liability than an asset, I think thats pretty clear.

SJ is physically most gifted in Indiana maybe just after J.O. He is true athlet.
He is true warrior, when it comes to defence.
All You need it's a coach with balls, who can control his play in attack.
He tries to make unnecessary contested shot - he gets to sit for 10 minutes.
That's all.

I disagree. There are players who do certain things really well, but a few guys are playing so poorly lately, committing turnovers, making bad shots and not getting back on D, that we can't take advantage of what our guys do well.
