When they hoisted Reggie's banner into the rafters, it got stuck about midway up, and sat in front of the speakers waving back and forth there for a while. Finally, they just hoisted it up extra high to get it out of the way. It still wasn't fixed by the time we left after the game.

You'd think they'd be able to get such a simple, but important, thing right, wouldn't you?

I just wanna get the word on Danny Grangers attire. Can anybody tell me what he was wearing?

I can't believe they'd really mess that up. They even said they use the term "Great" rarely since there were only 4 banners up before.

Its been so long since they hoisted up a banner that they forgot how to do it.

After the way this season has gone did you honestly think anything would work the way it's supposed to? It could have been worse. It could have fallen to the floor during the game.

Or it could have fallen and hit Stephen Jackson.......who knows how he'd react?

A fan must have thrown it at him.

He would rush the stands.

We were joking that it would probably catch fire, then fall and hit Tinsley.

Yep. Reggie would just look down and say "that's a monther."

How high did you expect them to hoist that thing?

That's where it stuck, though. It ended up much higher later. I still couldn't figure out exactly where it was supposed to go in the first place. :whoknows:

I think it was supposed to stop there.

On the TV broadcast, you could see a piece of masking tape on the rope go by their hands, and then they stopped pulling.

Maybe since this is the first jersey to be retired by the Pacers for a NBA player they wanted to place it somewhere else?

Nah, I don't even believe that one myself. Is it going to be placed by the others for the next game or what?

I seriously doubt that, seeing as how it was hovering in the middle of a cluster of speakers.

You don't think it would've been odd if he had raised it all the way to the spot where it ended up, amongst the wiring and cables?
