View Full Version : Pacers Digest Pick-up Game?

I was thinking the other day about how there are forum parties. I was curious as to what the interest would be if sometime over the summer we were to rent out a gym and have forum basketball games. Get ladies and gentlemen, people of all ages and just play pick up games and talk pacers basketball. Just wondering what kind of interest there is out there. Talk about our favorite sport while playing our favorite sport. Of course you could come and not participate and still sit around talking Pacers Basketball.

Inspired by the forum parties, I've had this idea as well some time ago.

Unfortunately, I don't live in the neighbourhood and I wouldn't be able to attend anyway (at least not until I have the money to come over), so I let it go.

But I'm glad you came up with it: it's a great idea and I really think you guys should be able to make this work.

Then maybe some day I'll be able to be there too...

Great idea though! This would be fun!

PD Shoot-around maybe...

Hoping maybe we can have a PD road trip next year. Normally Atlanta would be a good choice, but of course we can't beat the Hawks.

I'm in.

I'll play, anytime, anywhere.

It would be cool if we could get enough people for at least 4 on 4, but hell, I'd play 21 or something, even if we could only get 3 guys.

Even I would do this. I's have to buy some tennis shoes 1st, of course.

I could school you all.

Just FYI, I'll likely be playing at the East 91st St. church off of 91st and Allisonville Rd. for an hour or two before the forum party, since it's all of about 5 minutes away from the Pizza King. They don't open until 3:00, but I'll probably be there starting around 4:00 or so. If anyone gets into town early and feels like playing, there's some pretty good ballers up there, including former IU and NBA player Ray Tolbert. LMK and I'll give 'ya directions. :)

It's true...btown's cheerleading skills are second to none. :cheering:

I'd join you Shade, if I wasn't going to Chi-town that evening. It's been awhile since I packed a Ray Tolbert throwdown.

I wish I could be there too. Then you'd meet the Tinsley of Euro Fans. Gets injured a lot, but what a touch with the ball!

I'd play although you guys might get ticked off at me for my D.

i'd be so down for this. IF it were to happen on a weekend I would really enjoy doing something like this.

I can never find people to play basketball with. I'm a mere shadow of the player I used to be prior to shattering my ankle. But I am basically a PG and I could careless about scoring.

When I play ball I judge my performance on assists, rebounds, turnovers, and how many points my man scores on offense. (yes i am a PG who enjoys going for the boards with the BIGS, thats how i shattered my ankle)

Anyhow, i would make it a point to attend if it was on the weekend.

We could make things interesting with PD 3-pt contest and Dunk contest (people permitting) for bragging rights. Any other miscellaneous activities are welcome.

Just becareful, Shade plays in the nude. He's a tough defender too. Always up in your face.

Oh and he's VERY hairy too.
