Oh dear - is this one on ABC?

Looks like it is.

This has to be some record. I had the Pistons/Pacers game on TV Friday, this one on TV today, and I have the Pacers/Heat game on TV tomorrow.

3 in a row!

I believe it's 90 minutes until tipoff.

I'm getting a little confused because my guide on the TV reads "Cleveland @ Houston" for the game at 1:00pm. However, when I checked the schedule on Yahoo, our game is the only one playing at 1:00pm, and Cleveland doesn't even play Houston until 4:00pm.

I was pretty confused at first, but I think I get it now: the clock moved on an hour here last night. So time difference has changed from 6 to 7 hours...

I'd settle for an 8-7 finish (so we still make the play-offs) and a championship.

PREVIEW

With 15 games remaining, Pacers Coach Rick Carlisle has decided it's time to put the team's primary lineup on the floor and see what develops.

Jamaal Tinsley and Jermaine O'Neal both will return to the starting lineup today when the Pacers face the Philadelphia 76ers in Conseco Fieldhouse. Both players last started on Jan. 24 in Cleveland, when O''Neal suffered a torn groin muscle that kept him out nearly two full months. Tinsley missed six weeks with an injury to his right elbow.

Today's game will mark the first time this season the Pacers (34-33) have five projected starters on the floor together, with Peja Stojakovic replacing Ron Artest.

Anthony Johnson, who has averaged 11.0 points and 5.0 assists in 44 starts, and David Harrison will move to the bench. Carlisle will stick with an eight-man rotation until Fred Jones recovers from his left thumb injury, with Johnson backing up both guard positions, joining Danny Granger and Harrison as the primary options off the bench.

The Pacers' primary offensive weapons all have been faltering. O'Neal has averaged 12.0 points on .364 shooting in two games back; Stephen Jackson (.333 from the field, .240 from the 3-point line in the last seven) and Stojakovic (.390 in the last three, 0-of-7 from the arc in the last two) also have slumped. The offense has averaged 78.3 points and .387 shooting in the last three losses.

Philadelphia (32-36), threatening New Jersey for the Atlantic Division lead three weeks ago, has dropped five of six and now faces a fight to hang onto a playoff berth, leading ninth-place Chicago by just 2 games. The Sixers are coming off a 102-86 home loss to Orlando Friday night in which the Magic snapped a 16-game road losing streak.

The Pacers and Sixers have split two close games decided by a total of three points. Indiana won the last meeting 94-93 in Philadelphia on March 5 on Jackson's layup with 2.9 seconds left. Philadelphia won 111-109 in Conseco Fieldhouse on Nov. 5.

TRENDS

In 15 games since his one-game NBA suspension, David Harrison has averaged 9.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.33 blocked shots while shooting .510 from the field and .588 from the line. In 42 games prior, his averages were 4.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.74 blocks, .491 from the field and .425 from the line. Jeff Foster has averaged 12.8 rebounds (6.0 offensive) in the last 10. Danny Granger has averaged 12.9 points and 6.7 rebounds while shooting .561 in the last seven. Anthony Johnson has 27 assists and three turnovers in the last five. Tinsley has seven turnovers in the last two games. The team has shot .253 from the arc in the last nine games, .284 in the last 15. The defense has allowed averages of 80.0 points and .395 shooting in the last two.

KEY MATCHUP

Iverson is the sun around which the Sixers revolve, and that never has been more obvious. He recently missed four games with a sprained right foot and the Sixers lost all four. He has since returned, playing unevenly in two games back, which basically means the clock is ticking on an eruption.

INJURIES

Pacers - C Scot Pollard (left foot) is probable; G Fred Jones (thumb) is doubtful; F Austin Croshere (concussion) is out. Sixers - None.

Just looking at the schedule, and assuming we can beat some of the under .500 teams, I think we will finish 6-9. The only reason we make the playoffs is Chicago is worse than we are.

Let the gamesmanship begin.....

Pretty much. And when you think about how much we're paying this guy, it just makes you sick. There are very few players who are paid as much as him, who help out the OTHER team as often as he does.

Anyway - this has not been a fun game to watch so far outside of Danny and Jeff. Aside from those two, it has been sloppy and lacking intensity. I would say that has been the biggest thing so far - a lack of intensity (particularly on the defensive end). Everyone looks real lacksadaisacal out there.

i want everyone to pay attention to something in the 2nd half.

whenever Webber gets the ball in the post, he wants to go to his right and get to his jumphook. IT'S HIS ONLY POST MOVE!!! he doesn't want to do anything else when in the post. if we just force him left, he'll pass the ball and, most likely, it'll be a turnover. hopefully, that's in the scouting report.

This is a hard one.

I really want to keep Peja (not for the big money though) but I also really want to maximize Danny's minutes. He's shown enough to earn that to me.
Well, say we sign Peja for a decent prize, then I wouldn't really mind if Dan isn't starting next season and becomes our 6th man (which he is almost now already), getting about 35 minutes a game AND finishing the game. I also think Danny would be fine with that cause he understands the game.

But if I would HAVE to make a choice between Danny and Peja, then obviously Danny's our man, our future. I only hope it never comes to that.

It will be an interesting off-season to begin with.
