I don't like the Spurs...unless they are in the finals against the Pistons.

Of course...out of sheer principle...I cannot choose the Pistons.

So I would bet on the Mavs.

FreshPrince22

I'm not sure about this one. Despite beating the Heat, the Pistons are still dragging ***. I'll just hope for a clean, injury-free game.

For those that are stuck at work...or can't see NBA TV.......which Live GameCast website do you use?

I usually check out the NBA.com GameCast....but found that it takes forever to update. Same with the ESPN GameCast.

I guess there is the Yahoo GameCast...but not sure if that is good or not.

Any suggestions?

Lord Helmet

Sorry, but now that's been two horrible calls on us.

Jermaniac

I just cant stand when Peja takes it up soft like that, I really wish he could somehow learn how to not be afraid of contact.

Fireball Kid
03-24-2006, 07:18 PM
On sportsline, it said that David Harrison made a 3-point shot???

Aw Heck
03-24-2006, 07:19 PM
Hate to say it, but the Pistons are coasting right now. They're not crashing the boards and it just seems like they're going through the motions. I think they're not going to start turning it up until the second half. I hope the Pacers will be ready for it.

The Pacers certainly need to bring more than this.

Lord Helmet
03-24-2006, 07:21 PM

Harrison with 8pts!!

Fireball Kid

Hulk bringin' his "A" game tonight.

Sheed is the anti-Fatoine. I rarely see him miss that shot.

Lord Helmet

Rasheed just got hit in the face and Stephen seems to have gotten hurt. He was limping around.

Shade

That's one of the few times he's actually justified in his *****ing. That shoulda been a 4-point play.

Aw Heck
03-24-2006, 07:31 PM

Lord Helmet
03-24-2006, 07:31 PM
Nice D, Danny!

Jermaniac
03-24-2006, 07:33 PM
Great D by Danny, pretty good qtr we made some mistakes here and there. But Peja needs to get it going if we want to win, we really need his offense. JO needs to hit some shots too, you can see he clearly isnt in game shape.

Saras is playing???? Or it's just sportsline?

Lord Helmet
03-24-2006, 07:35 PM
David is the reason why we are leading.

We just need Peja to hit more of his shots.

Lord Helmet
03-24-2006, 07:35 PM

No, not yet, at least. He could since Fred isn't playing, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Lord Helmet
03-24-2006, 07:44 PM

Because of his injury is my guess. He was basically useless anyway with the injury.

They said he could miss this Sunday's game also.

He thought there was only 1 second left rather than 10. I think. :hmm:

Anyway, HORRIBLE quarter, and we're only down 6. Need to pick it up, though. We've already seen Peja outplay Prince once, so we know it can be done.

Hulk and Jack have played very well so far.

we're lucky to be down only six points right now. we could easily be down 12.

as for Jack putting up that shot... Carlisle yelled "ONE!" meaning one shot... but Jack probably thought he meant one second left... and threw up the ball. No harm, no foul though

Jermaniac

Please, take Jermaine out.

PLEASE.When Jermaine was in, 7 point lead, Stojakovic came in and a 14 point turnaround happend. Jermaine has been out for 2 months he has an excuse for not hitting jumpers. What does Stojakovic have? He is afraid of big games? Yep thats it.

Tins-Jack-Danny-JO-Harrison play and we still lead right now. Pull your head out of your *** Carlisle.

Kstat
03-24-2006, 08:04 PM
Well, you guys should feel pretty good about this: you've been awful and you're only down 6.

I told you guys our bench could play. Stats notwithstanding, we have a lot of guys on our bench that can be rotation players at an NBA level. We have a better bench than we had the last 2 years, in my opinion.

Dale and Hunter have old legs, but those dogs can still hunt, so to speak. Can't wait till we're playing them every night in the playoffs.

Has any play ever encapsulated Jackson's bball IQ better than the one before halftime?

Also good to see Peja is back to being the Peja Pistons fans have come to know and love over the last few years. You guys wondered how Peja played against us in Sacramento? Pretty much like tonight so far.

Harrison really impressed me. Hats off to the big kid.

Good luck in the 2nd half. Well, kinda.

Oh, their bench is definitely playing well, and their starters are playing like they do; streaky on offense, but usually get rolling off of their defense.

the refs reward the more aggressive team.

I hear that a lot, and it just isn't true. I have seen many, many examples to the contrary.

Besides, the refs aren't supposed to favor anybody. They're supposed to call the game fairly.

He has been pretty much "out of his slump" for about 6 games. Today isn't one of his best, but he isn't really getting anything easy. Credit the Pacers for that one. They always seem to kill the transition game.

i believe they're calling it fairly... we got a lot of calls in the first half.. the pistons are getting theirs now... what's the link? we were more aggressive in the first half, particularly the first quarter.

anyway... my point is to not blame the refs. it's the players. the pistons are a better team, who know each other, and play this game extremely well. as you can see, we're not on that level right now due to a number of circmstances... but that's just the way it is.

It's laughable that you'd refer to our commentators as homers, especially when compared to Lamebeer.

When did I say they (laimbeer and others) weren't? They usually call things like they see it though. Laimbeer is one of the only commentators that will call it out when the Pistons get calls. I hate how most just bite their tongue even when they see something blatant, and then whine like crazy when they think their team was wronged. It's either both or nothing. Bill is definately a homer though, but not with officiating. He'll tell the crowd to "sit down" or something, but that's just Bill being Bill.

That's not the point though. The point is A) The Pacers commentators are homers, and B) They said nothing of a foul on the play. They didn't even question it. Neither did the players.

Kstat
03-25-2006, 01:35 AM
Agreed. Laimbeer has been amazingly non-homeristic this year. He's as fair a home TV guy as you'll see in the NBA now.

That said, it's hard not to notice that he's still a Piston at heart, but he's pretty unbiased in his opinions.

Lamb's come a long way since ESPN.
