Yeah, he actually said he was going to be able to come back and play again this year
I'm really glad to hear that.
I remember watching him being helped off the court and the announcers were saying he was saying, "I can't see."
I'm really glad the kids alright.

OMG!! This is the first I've seen or heard of that. Unreal. What happened at the arena at the time it occurred? Did they see that his eye popped out? Wow.

I had been looking for this video. I heard rumors that his eye actually popped out, but it seemed a bit far-fetched. But it sure looks that way in the video.
Allan said he couldn't see at all at first, but his vision gradually returned. Apparently, some ppl that witnessed it first-hand were actually crying because it looked so severe. Allan is an EXTREMELY lucky guy to be coming out of this with apparently no permanent damage. I wonder if he'll be wearing some sort of protection over that eye in the tourney (I would certainly hope so)?
It really freaks me out that this is possible. I play basketball all the time and get hit in the face more than I'd like to think about. I already had my contact knocked out before.

In an update to this, apparently Allan's eyelid was shoved behind his eye, which made the eye stick out. He said his trainer advised him not to watch the video of it, which he hasn't.
