I'm hoping that we can get the ball to Foster and Harrison inside....with Al Jefferson and Kedrick Perkins out.....our frontline should be able to abuse theirs.

I heard from the RealGM Celtics forum that Jefferson is gonna play...but no Kedrick Perkins. If he plays.....he will likely start.

I heard from the RealGM Celtics forum that Jefferson is gonna play...but no Kedrick Perkins. If he plays.....he will likely start.

Doc Rivers was interviewed during the Celtics pre-game show, said that Perkins isn't going to be ready to play for awhile. (at least a week away?)

It is unbelievable, after such a good game Carlisle rewards Saras by giving him 9 min so far??? I hope he is saving him for playoffs:mad:
Sarunas will get his minutes soon.

But I seriously think that Carlisle plays Sarunas, Granger and Harrison when he is forced to play them.....like when the player they backup gets injured, in foul trouble or needs to get some rest.

If AJ/SJax/Peja/JONeal/Foster were indestructible and can play 48 minutes a game without needed rest...I think he would probably play a 5-man rotation at 48 minutes a game.

Jasikevicius played such a great game when he had his one chance and this is the reward. 12 minutes behind a guy who shoots terribly. Johnson gets so much credit and confidence from this coach, no matter how bad he is, while Jasikevicius gets put down and demoralized time after time. Nobody can be surprised if Saras never reaches his full potential in such a team with this coach.

You go with Peja, Freddie, or Stephen in this instance. All 3 are having great shooting games so you can't really go wrong with any of them. The most important thing though is to get an easy shot.

Moses
03-03-2006, 10:14 PM
Well, It was a tough loss but this just proves why we can't always rely on AJ to run the offense. The reason he is such a great PG is because of the fact that he is money from mid-range and when he has an off night like this, he isn't that big of an asset to the team because we need all the offense we can get right now when Peja, Jax, and Freddie are our primary scorers. Another thing that killed us was that they took 13 more shot attempts then us.

SoupIsGood

Jermaniac
03-03-2006, 10:17 PM
If JO was playing in this game, the last play would have been a shot from the FT line by JO.

Without JO, Jack gets the ball at the top of the key and does what ever the hell he can to get a shot.

This team is very predictable.

Mordecaii
03-03-2006, 10:17 PM
The reason we lost the game was turnovers and poor rebounding. This is the reason why we need Tinsley and JO back IMO. You can count on JO for 10 boards a night, and you can count on Tinsley to be quite possibly the best ball-handler in the league. Both AJ and Saras had a lot of trouble when the Celtics put pressure on the ball.

On another note, I'd just like to say that I love it how Freddie takes over a game at the end... It seems like when everyone else is jacking up jumpers and ill-advised shots, Freddie drives it to the basket. 11 points just in the 4th quarter? I'll take it.

As soon as Jackson got the ball, I knew the game was over.

He shoulda given it to Peja.

Everybody was doing dumb stuff at some point tonight, but Jackson lost this game for us. He had to take the last shot, and when he missed it, he had that "Oh well, I sure woulda looked cool if I'd made it, and I still get paid even though we lost" look on his face....

The point is, it shouldn't have even been a close game... if we could have rebounded and if we had a PG who was capable of doing what a PG should (aka handling the ball without having it stolen) then we would have easily won.
