In the East

Pacer Fan in AZ
Rcarey
Mourning
Jose Slaughter
Roaming Gnome
Peck

Burnzone gets a win in his next game, just waiting for it to be posted, so he's in as well.

Displaced Knick is having a hard time shaking Indy Dave. DK splits his next 2 games but ID gets 2 wins. DK is ahead in the WL department but ID has a higher average so if they finish tied the 8th spot goes to Indy Dave.

In the divisional races: Rcarey has the edge on Pacer Fan in AZ. Rcarey is up by a game & while PFiA splits his next two, Rcarey wins both of his.

Mourning wins the White division when his win in game 52 gets posted.

Looks like 2 guys new to our league get divisional banners. Nice job guys!

Out West

Kerosene
#7
Pacer Tom
Gyron
Diamond Dave
Dr. Badd
Grundzel
Doug

Doug gets the final spot after his win in the next game is posted. So the 8 teams in the west are decided, we just need to figure out who plays who.

Kerosene had the Gold division wrapped up about a week ago.

The Blue division comes down to #7 vs. Gyron. They play each other in game 52 & its too close to call. #7 is up 3 games but trails Gyron in game 52 so the banner is still up for grabs.

Jose, you run a great league. I love these little updates you do...they're very much appreciated.

It looks like my team is peaking at the right time. Now, if I can get Al Jefferson back from injury, we're playing ball.

Looks like my guys have floated a couple of stinkers down the stretch. I'm proud of them, though. They fought back, played hard and at least made it a little interesting.......

My first pick was a guy that never played, and I traded my second pick for some waiver wire players. Zeke ain't got nothin' on me.

The key is, can you improve next season?

I would say, you'd almost have to, there is very little else you could do.

Not funny. :(

I wonder if there's still room on Tim's and UB's bandwagon...

Yeesh - thank to Michael Pietrus and Shane Battier I can kiss my two remaining goals away this season - finishing above .500 and over a 200 pt average.

It's one thing to have bad games but 0 fantasy points in 32 minutes??? And Battier gave me 8 in 35.

OTOH, everyone having bad games at the same time isn't the worst thing in the world - hopefully they'll get that out of their systems. But I'd hoped that games like that were a thing of the past.

I got "Grant Hilled" or "Rafer Alstoned" because I read that Robert Swift would be out 3-4 weeks and so I dropped him the next day, right before reading that he had a special mask built and and would instead return Tuesday.

Of course I got priority 2.

Well Jake has been similar lately, and either would play only when Shaq is hurt.

Evans got traded within a day of me dropping him, because Seattle wouldn't play him ... offcourse, he's bound to be playing now and to add insult to injury ... the team I am most likely to face in the first round picked him up :arrgh:

Well, atleast I am not facing Reggie Evans in the first round that was a relief, however facing Peck now means it's bound to be very tough aswell.

I would like to support carey's point with regards to Jose and his little updates and so during the season, I really like reading them.

To everyone who didn't make the play-offs, sorry for that, but better luck next year. It's bound to be interesting when the new season starts.

To the other teams that did make it ... goodluck (except when you play me ;)) and have fun ;).

Regards,

Mourning

I finished 19-37, and my first pick never played a single damn game. :(

Shade, it won't make you feel any better, but....

Ginobili isn't doing me much good lately. 24 minutes and 11 fantasy points last night. I've had to drop him to 4th guard because he's been bad for 2 weeks and Ben Gordon has slumped too.

For 2 months I've been averaging well over 230 and then in the 1st playoff game I scored 204.

I'm hoping I don't face Cedar City since he has a healthy Camby now and he put up a goofy good number already in game 1 and would have me beat by a mile.

It looks like Cedar City will pass Holden Beach and I will play Holden Beach in the playoffs...

and I will lose game 1.

not good...

I lost my last 2 games (ugly, ugly, ugly). You won't be playing me.

Whoever I play (pretty sure it's rcarey) my first game's not bad.

Huh? What'd Peck do? I was sure I was the 8 seed. Now I have to figure out what Mourning's team # is ...

I really wish I knew whose @ss I was about to kick.

You guys are right, I screwed up..... again.

It should be Displaced Knick in 7th, Peck in 8th.

I checked my numbers again & I somehow switched your averages.

:buttkick: In other words ... I think it's me DK.

Ugh ... I'm 0.2 behind .... 235 pts to 235.2 pts :arrgh: :censored: :pullhair: :hissyfit:. DK you seem to be my "angstgegener", I think I only have won one game against you the whole season, lost 2 games with less then 5 points and lost one blowout.

Thx Mr. Dalembert ... those -2 points are bound to help me. Atleast Rasheed and Lebron are keeping me in, I need GOOD games from Jamison and Jefferson at Forward and either Barbosa or Miles are going to have to score well at Guard if I want to get this second one.

If that's the case you'll probably kick my *** in OT.

I'd like to thank Tmac & Andre Miller for picking this time of the year to be average.

Looks like I'm going to end the season the way I started it, sucking.

Oh well, in all honesty I am probably more proud of my team this year than I have been in years past because a lot of my team is waiver wire pickups & I actually picked a couple of good ones this year.

No disrespect to Doug but that would be a major upset & no need to tell you this Kerosene but you are right there on the edge.

Wow, I just checked the series between you guys. Talk about close!

In a 7 game series, the best team will almost always emerge victorious...but in a 5 game series you see a lot more upsets then you would normally expect.

Looks like you take another hard hit with Collison being out for 4 weeks.

I legitimately feel bad for ya. I know all too well what you are going through right now...

Doug, yer killin' me here!

I just got back into town and started checking the scores. Dang, I don't think I've ever won close games, let alone a pair of them in the playoffs.

Game three hasn't been decided yet, but unless Ricky throws up a monster or Sam-I-Am throws up a real stinker, I think you're toast.

Gyron

I think Cedar city is going to win our series. My team has decided now would be a good time for mediocrity.

Cedar City is scary in a short series because Camby, when healthy, can put up numbers that make Kobe and Garnett look plain.

Of course then he usually sits for a week with a hangnail.

Dougie boy, I'm impressed. Taking out a #1.

Down goes Frazier, down goes Frazier...

Ok, Game 1 (in OT, I think the first of the season for me) and 2 are mine, 3 is not decided, but my position is pretty favorable.

Not getting ahead of myself though...

Dang! Ming seems to be throwing out lots of 55-65 games that always makes things a little more difficult.

I've won my first round against Peck, and am looking at a matchup with Jose next. His guys have been putting up some big numbers as of late.

But how will Elton respond to Jose after he passed him up in the draft for Vince?

Gyron

Well I won the first game, but just barely. And I think it's likely my last one:(

Too bad ABC doesn't do the Wide World of Sports anymore, a picture of me & my team would be a shoo-in for the "agony of defeat" clip :D

Good luck in the next round Doug!

Wow! So, it really happenned! I feel sorry for you, Kerosene, best record by a distance and then getting swept in the first round of the play-offs, talk about a tough loss!

Congrats to Doug, THE biggest possible upset possible in the most devastating way. WOW!

eh, my forwards were weak all year; just masked by having wallace and davis fill most of the minutes there. lost game one by 3 or 4 points and game two by .4 game 3 has to be one of my worst outings of the season (that stinker of a game i had with Rimfire may have been worse). disappointing, sure but it's cool; it'll happen sometimes. i had a lot of fun as always.

at least i'm assured of making it past the first round in the KL ;)
