I think this game will be tougher then we think.....this year's Hornets are way better then before.

Peja is gonna have his hands full on Mason....he's way more athletic then he is given credit for.

Hopefully we can pull out a win...as long as we are execute.

UPDATE - some Hornets RealGM poster said that David West just had a baby and the Hornet's excused him from tonight's festivities.

Has anyone told him how the male and female reproductive systems work?

I just looked at those faces below the line "Projected Pacers' Starting Lineup" and understood that I still get surprised by it. I must still have my off-season 2005/06 image of the team deeply in my mind. This team has changed.

:woot: :boomer: :woot:

We definetly cannot take this game for granted because we lost to the Hornets last year, and this year they're even better. Our next two games are against the Pistons who we are 1-0 against and the Hawks, who we are 0-2 against.

I'm not sure what WE you are talking about, but considering that the Hornets have a better record than the Pacers, there is no reason to think that this will be an easy game.

It'll be a tough game and to the original question, Hell yes Oklahoma City deserves a team, I believe they have at least top ten attendance.

We should win tho. Especially with West out.

Lord Helmet
02-21-2006, 06:50 PM
Hell no they can't take this game for granted, the Hornets are MUCH better than they were last year, and they currently have a better record than us, in the West, too.

317Kim
02-21-2006, 06:51 PM
Hornets are 9-1 in their last 10 and have won 5 in a row I think. They have a better record because they're 29-23 and we're 26-23.

Yes, I took a look at it too, and it's particularly great that they don't have that strict starters/non-starters separation as before. Now it's possible to follow who's on court. The new design reminds me of Euroleague's live boxscores, but is much more elaborate. And way better than what NBA.com had before.

PS: that starters/non-starters distinction is very over-emphasized, and it's good to see it dropped in exchange for quality at least in this new design. Why does NBA emphasize starting so much? It's bad for the game and creates additional reasons for quarells.

On the NBA.com main page point the mouse at the score of any of the games in progress. Then click "Courtside Livebox" or similarly titled choice in the bottom of the drop-down menu that will appear.

Y'know, I'm constantly amazed by the chemisty Peja and Jack have.

On that sequence, Peja drives, passes to an open Jack who misses, gets his own board, then hits an open Peja for 3. :)

On unrelated issue: Darko has 2 points in his 1st game with Magic, has spent 3 minutes in the court, Magic is losing bit by bit and it doesn't seem he will get up again.

The good side: he will have gotten mor PT than Carlos Arroyo in their first game, and he will have the best FG% in his team today - 1/1...

Im sure a lot of you dont know this but Danny and Chris Paul got into it when Wake Forest came to the pit. CP hit Danny in the ... nuts (i think or a hard foul) and DG reacted with a little scuffle between the two. It was kinda weird to see them two on the same team not to mention Bogus passing to DG in the rookie game. Im sure DG had a little revenge on his mind tonight. Nice to see the Pacers and DG get the win.Congrats on the win tonight and hope you guys start the second half strong!!

The Hornets dont suck. David West wasnt even playing tonight. They will make the playoffs this year.

if I didn't know better I'd say that a team that buys Macijauskas and can afford to give him only a couple of minutes per game without him even having a shot a three, should be crushing every possible piston or spur by 30 points with ease ;)

We have the most 20+ Point wins in the NBA (10).

He isn't really being paid top dollar...there are plenty of players being paid as much money as him or more who don't get PT so this isn't unusual or anything. He just can't crack their rotation. It happens.
