Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 10:07 PM
"I lament the fact that NBA players do not take fake games serious as they do in Europe. I wish it was more like college all star game, that is where the fundamentals are stressed."

Shade
02-17-2006, 10:23 PM
What the hell was blocking the view of the basket on that first FT?

3 pts, 2 reb, 3 ***

Pacersfan46
02-17-2006, 10:23 PM
3 assists for Granger?

I wondered the same on the FT.

CableKC
02-17-2006, 10:24 PM

Shade
02-17-2006, 10:25 PM
3 assists for Granger?

I wondered the same on the FT.

That's what the announcer said, though honestly, I didn't pay too much attention to them. Maybe he was mistaken.

Pacersfan46

He was talking about Chris Paul

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 10:26 PM

Pacersfan46
02-17-2006, 10:36 PM
Paul and Granger on the bench = lose the lead

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 10:36 PM
It's like a team of Stephen Jacksons. They're not aware Runi's on the floor.

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 10:37 PM
Paul and Granger on the bench = lose the lead

Exactly. Put Granger and mostly Paul back in, and they get the lead back.

SoupIsGood
02-17-2006, 10:38 PM
Take head and Williams out, they're a bunch of phoneys. Sarunas would kill this game

CableKC
02-17-2006, 10:39 PM

Hahaha

CableKC
02-17-2006, 10:40 PM

Jermaniac
02-17-2006, 10:40 PM
Put Danny back in damn it

Granger looks like he's running away from the ball. Both our guys look like they're not feelin' this.

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 10:52 PM
not a bad half. rookies still have a shot at it.

SoupIsGood
02-17-2006, 10:53 PM

Not really his type of game though.

BayouPacer
02-17-2006, 10:56 PM
Just saw the Jordan commercial....great stuff!

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 10:58 PM
Yeah Granger doesn't seem like the streetball type. But I'd think Runi would flourish, actually I think he would but no thanks to Deron Williams.

CableKC
02-17-2006, 10:58 PM
Glad I'm not the only one who's seeing that.
Its cuz CV, Frye and Robinson have a green light to shoot the ball once they get it.

MagicRat
02-17-2006, 10:59 PM
But I'd think Runi would flourish.....

Well, we know he doesn't like to play the 2. I'm sure he really doesn't like playing the 3 or 4 on this squad.......

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 11:01 PM
Runi at the three is hilarious.

Aw Heck
02-17-2006, 11:01 PM
Reggie and Steve Kerr in a shootout coming up. Should be fun to see.

Unclebuck
02-17-2006, 11:02 PM

MagicRat
02-17-2006, 11:03 PM
Runi at the three is hilarious.

Iguodala sure thought so....

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 11:03 PM
you know it's bad when you switch to the alternative shopping networks.

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 11:04 PM

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:13 PM
Yep, Granger is seriously walking away from the ball each time.

Jermaniac
02-17-2006, 11:14 PM

indytoad
02-17-2006, 11:14 PM
Yep, Granger is seriously walking away from the ball each time.

He looks really apathetic. Not going for any rebounds or anything.

IndyToad
Pall bearer

Unclebuck
02-17-2006, 11:15 PM
Granger will never be good in an allstar game, that just isn't his type of game

Pig Nash
02-17-2006, 11:15 PM
maybe he just doesn't get up for the fake games.

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:17 PM
...or maybe the Simons slid in an extra bonus if he and Runi finish the game uninjured?

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:19 PM
Granger calling for the ball whenever Paul's back is turned

Aw Heck
02-17-2006, 11:20 PM
Seriously, has Villenueva passed the ball at all during the game?

Aw Heck
02-17-2006, 11:21 PM

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:21 PM

Shade
02-17-2006, 11:29 PM
Man, Bogut has looked pretty good tonight.

I haven't been too impressed by Frye, though.

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:31 PM
I don't think anybody cares who wins anymore, if they ever did

Shade
02-17-2006, 11:31 PM
Iggy's killin' 'em!

Shade
02-17-2006, 11:33 PM
Iggy is the MVP, hands down.

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:33 PM
I think the genious decision would be to play Runi with Paul. Maybe Paul can find him wide open.

Aw Heck
02-17-2006, 11:33 PM
Wow. Iguodala is on fire.

Evan_The_Dude
02-17-2006, 11:35 PM
Damn I love Chris Paul.

Jermaniac
02-17-2006, 11:35 PM

IndyToad
The significance

Jermaniac
02-17-2006, 11:47 PM
lmao at Head

Shade
02-17-2006, 11:48 PM
Danny scored the last points of the game! :)

Mr.ThunderMakeR
02-17-2006, 11:50 PM
Our guys looked extremely apathetic. Im pretty disappointed.

I think they were confused without Carlisle on the sidelines yelling the plays at them lol.

LOBOMIKE
02-17-2006, 11:55 PM
Not Danny's type of game really. It's more for the hot dogs like Iguodala. Danny likes to play defense, which we know they don't do in these games. Danny looked cautious and disinterested at times.

Will Galen
02-17-2006, 11:59 PM
Might as well put this here. It's from a blog on NBA.com.

Back on the court, Rookie coach Sydney Lowe went over a few offensive sets, but then gave the kids plenty of time to just shoot around. They took advantage, quickly breaking into a game of an old favorite, Knockout. In the spirit of total access, we've got the play-by-play ...

Danny Granger was eliminated by Nate Robinson.
Charlie Villanueva was eliminated by Deron Williams (after CV missed a windmill dunk).
Chris Paul was eliminated by Luther Head.
Robinson was eliminated by Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Andrew Bogut was eliminated by Channing Frye.
Head was eliminated by Williams.
Williams was eliminated by Jasikevicius.
Frye was eliminated by Jasikevicius.

So Sarunas Jasikevicius is your 2006 Rookie Challenge Knockout Champion. Of course, he had an advantage because he was doing an interview while the first three players were eliminated. That, and he's a great shooter.

Wow, nice job Runi.

BTW, Channing Frye is terribly unathletic. IDK why people are so excited about him. He looked horrible tonight.

I think Danger did pretty darn good. Especially on the defensive end, but being it was an All-Star game, it wasn't announced that but I'm okay :)

Runi he hit a few threes but was looking for people most of the time. It was a good game with a nice run from the rookies at the end.
