Clippers Grab Radmanovic For Wilcox
Press Release - Clippers Vice President of Basketball Operations Elgin Baylor announced today that the team has acquired forward Vladimir Radmanovic from the Seattle SuperSonics in exchange for forward Chris Wilcox.

“Vladimir gives us versatility and he fits very well into our system,” Baylor said. “He’s agile and he runs the floor well. We see him playing multiple positions and his outside shooting will stretch the defense and be a big positive for our inside players.”

Radmanovic, in his fifth NBA season, has career averages of 10.1 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. The 6’10” Radmanovic is averaging 9.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 23.2 minutes per game this season. He set a new career-high with 30 points at New York on January 8, 2006 and is shooting a career-best .887 from the free throw line this season
Interesting move.......it gives the Clippers more of an outside threat. Both being Free Agents...I wonder what will happen with them in the offseason.

Well, the Clippers potentially will have $8 to $9 million in capspace this offseason (depending on what happens with Cassell), so that's why Radmanovic signed off on the deal.

As for Wilcox, it'll probably depend on what other teams offer him, and if the Sonics want to match.

I like the trade for the Clippers in the short-term. Radmanovic gives them good depth off the bench. Livingston, Maggette, Radmanovic, and Rebraca, if they can all stay healthy.

Clips don't really have enough depth to compete in the West with the biggest quite yet...but like you said, it's a good move here because Wilcox barely played and Radmanovic can be huge. One thing is that Radmanovic wants to be a starter, we'll see if he stays. Maybe he thinks he can play SF. Then the Clips have the problem of Maggette wanting to start...

As for Seattle, we'll have to see how it works long term after the season but short term it's good. They've been inconsistent with who they throw out there in their starting big man spot and Wilcox, when given time, can be VERY effective...

With Maggette out probably for the season. It is not a bad move for the Clippers.Radmanovic will give them a scorer.

As far as the Sonics who knows?
