We have had so many post players over the years who shot fake again and again only to be blocked. It is nice that he takes it up so strong and so quickly. These are a few of my favorite things...

But the best thing of all....His confidence is growing by leaps and bounds.

He's just huge. He's a load down there. The guy carries a lot of weight around, but knows how to use it and is tall enough and strong enough to move men around at will. If you pair him up with an athletic and versatile PF, some nice things could happen (in my opinion).

He doesn't think dunk enough, if you ask me, and he gets his shot blocked too often when he gets it down low.

Hmmmm. :hmm:

Me thinks that David's biggest problem is that he needs to add some go to post moves to his repetoire. He has no problem dunking that I've seen. He dunks early and often. But, in spite of his soft touch, I'd like to see him add some more moves around the hoop.

He gets that ball and explodes if you ask me, but hey... what do I know.

Oh yeah... I also loved the part where late in the game he only had 2 fouls.

Quoted for truth.

He needs to jump higher on offense and jump less on defense, that's for sure.

He is learning to get better position on the offensive side. He cannot be stopped if he is standing under the bucket. ...and for a big guy he can definitely run the floor! Wow!

He can get very good position and I loved it in the second half I think late in the 4th when he busted it downcourt and was able to get very deep post up postion on Sheed.

My favorite thing about David is when he clears space. I love it when some defender is in a spot he wants and David just plows him out of there. He does it in a way that even Dale Davis couldn't do.

Do you see why I was whining about playing David earlier this season?

If nothing else this game had to boost his confidence. He is simply too big for the Wallace's to handle under the basket... and I love it!

I didn't see that, but I bet it was hilarious. They are both goofballs.

Hmmm, I thought he once said his favorite movie was that movie about the guy who wrote Fear and Loathing in Lost Vegas? (Still haven't seen that movie, gonammit)

Maybe he, uh...was talking about Cocteau's Beauty and the Beast. God, I hope he was.

I kind of raised my eyebrows at this one. My mom thought that it was sweet and cute that he would choose this as his favorite.

I may be wrong, but I think they were poking a little fun at that "shimmy" that AJ does at the foul line :D

It still has to be his defense and biting on ballfakes. Tonight is no time for harping on such things though. Great win!!!

He was refering to JO and himself. I think. :)

He played a very consistant game last night and if he can continue to develop like this, the Pacers are going to be a force.

What I would like to see is Davis down low and Jo and Dan on the wings. However, I don't want JO to be first option, I want him to play like Granger does now.

IMO, he hasn't shown the jump hook, or his offensive versatility nearly enough this season, and it really looked good last season.

I think he's thinking too much at times, and its nice to see him just play instinctively on offense.

I agree, I think this is a result of either Rick or JO's tutoring, because that is how JO plays. Instinctive Jermaine was awesome, back in the day.
