Apparently the show is losing some popularity, as I didn't see any mention of it today. Anyway, here's tonight's episode......

Tease: He mentioned something interesting about the 4-point play call from 1999 playoffs, and how it changed officiating.

Rick said set offense isn't good for our team and that we will run more often. Rick, show me the money!

Everyone needs to listen at the 20 minute mark, about Rick not wanting to run a set offense.

I just got to this. It's nice in theory, however, if I had a nickel for every time I've seen a ref make a bad call, then wave off the other guys, saying, "I got it"... :pissed:

Carlisle: "Well I like the idea of dunking the ball instead of finger-tipping it. That's higher percentage.. Hopefully in those situations we've got guys that are capable of dunking it - or - are healthy enough to dunk it"

I heard it last year while JO was out, and we went back to it as soon as he was "healthy". I expect the same again. My only hope is with Peja he knows he has to at least partially stay away from it. Peja's too good to just prop him in a corner with his hands ready to catch a pass.

Thanks MR, being able to listen to the RC Show this morning was a treat.

I think there is a chance Stephen Jackson will play Saturday. Carlisle called him doubtful, but since the team didn't practice Thursday I doubt he has seen Jack since the Lakers game. We also learned Jack didn't stay in the hospital Wednesday night, but after his MRI and other tests, chose to go home, bruised as he was. Did you catch that Rick said that unlike most, Jackson has a "high pain tolerance"?

We need Jackson to spend time chasing Rip and helping out with Tayshaun Saturday night. I think there is a chance he will.

I was relatively happy, as usual when these kind of things are said, with some remarks about Jamaal Tinsley:

1. On coditioning over the summer: Jamaal (Tinsley) has worked extremely hard over the past two summers on his conditioning and keeping his body ready to go, he just had some freak luck with injuries.
2. On a faster "running" game; We tried to do this from the beginning of the season (set offense is ot good for us) we made it an emphasis. Not having Jamaal Tinsley certainly puts a damper on your ability to get up and down the floor and do the creative things.

I assume that will take down some other flying fantasies.

Hopefully Rick and Co. realize they can get easier post up opportunities for JO without all the called sets.
