Great shots!

All of the plays I had hoped you got, you did....

The Freddie dunk was my favorite, with the trey from the corner for Peja when the extra pass was made coming in a close second...

Thanks!

Anyone else watch the game on FSN and see the Flamingo guy get a full facial shot on the screen? I started laughing at that. Soo much publicity.

I loved seeing that FJ dunk on the highlights video! Schweeetness.
Amazing 20 ftr from Foster!

And you gotta love seeing Peja get comfy behind the arc. Let's hope this is a pattern for him...

Release, rotation.......

That made me laugh out loud.

Quite honestly though, he has a real pure stroke (as evidenced in your picture). Great shots, MagicRat.

He actually should've passed the ball to David. As you can see he's wide open...

David was only open because at the last millisecond Mihm tried to stop Freddy.

Yeah, I actually thought it was something like that.

Just fooling around a bit...

Yeah, that's exactly what Fred should be looking for on the drive... who's coming to double, and that's where he should pass it.

It was too fast for that. I can't believe anyone would be so anal about criticizing a team. :-/

ChicagoJ

Sorry, but that's just elementary dribble penetration. If you beat your man, watch for the double-team and pass the ball. If there's no double team, then by all means - take it to the rim.

If it were "too fast", Mihm wouldn't be all the way to other side of the lane (he'd be caught in no-man's land). (Okay - he's almost in no-man's land).

There are plenty of players in the league that could've/ would've made that pass. And Fred rarely makes that pass - don't know if its because he's already committed to shooting no matter what or if he just doesn't see it quick enough.

He got away with it that time (and using the proper hand certainly helps since Mihm used to proper hand to challenge the shot), but that's often the difference between a successful move to the basket and a turnover/ missed shot.

In most cases, I would agree but don't take the pleasure of that dunk away from me.:drooling: In any case, take another look at the picture. Does David look ready to catch a pass? It looks more like he is ducking because he is afraid of getting hit in the head by one of Freddie's feet. Also, DH often fumbles those kinds of passes, so given the personel Freddie should have thrown it down!

ps. It is so funny. On the Lakers' boards there are entire threads devoted to players, mostly Kwame Brown, passing up dunks for passes. Fans are never happy, are they.

Well, I wasn't sure from that angle where David's hands were.

If it were Foster, and Fred threw the pass, I'd be screaming at him for committing such an obvious T.O.

So okay, I'll give you that.

Its a "air time" decision. However, it shouldn't be decided at the beginning of the drive. IMO, Fred usually knows about one step into the drive how he's going to dunk the ball, and it doens't matter who's open.

I could see in a half court set with dribble penetration that the pass should be considered, but that was a semi-fast break, and as stated, Harrison is iffy on catching something so close and so hot....

Freddie chose the only path. Full run breaking from half court with a leading pass to him? No question what to do with that. Sometimes the Pacers try to be to cutesy and make one extra pass that didn't need to be made. This was one of those times!!

I'm just happy they won finally!

I fully understand. This has been my complaint about Freddie since he came into the league (all athleticism and not smart play) but in this case he happened into the right play. If he were trying to dunk over Kwame, who despite his offensive limitations as a player can jump up there and block that shot, then he should have passed. But I don't think that Freddie knew who was contesting the shot and I think that he didn't even see DH there.
