^^^I'd be happy as long as they are not blown out by 30 frakkin points at home.

Seriously.....I think that we will do better then most think as the huge cloud that was named "Artest" is finally lifted. We're entering an "Artest-less" Pacer era that we haven't seen in a long time....who knows? We may at least be competitive.

Lebron and Snow vs Danny on the break and he gets the stop, for those who don't understand the Danwagon theres a good example!

To Kings for Ron? Anyone?

Mr.ThunderMakeR
01-27-2006, 07:41 PM
Were only down by 7, it could be much worse considering the circumstances and the Cavs shooting.

CableKC
01-27-2006, 07:41 PM
It probably would hurt SJax to pass....but tonight.....he's the #1 scoring option....he has a free pass to jack up as many shots as he wants.....right next to AJ.

On the plus side, I really really like what I'm seeing from Danger and Hulk!

Has anyone else noticed that it seems like whenever our "star" players are out, our younger players feel more at ease with the offense and play better? It almost seems like they're being told to pass it to the stars and not create anything...

Hes not shooting well, but at least hes not holding it for ridiculous lengths of time and jacking up shots with 2 guys covering him. Hes moving without the ball, dribble penetrating etc and if he keeps doing that theres a good chance he'll get going. Not sure about his D though

Bball
01-27-2006, 07:58 PM
Granger is looking good... solid...

This is what a player is supposed to look like when he's going to be a good or better NBA player. That's why I have no idea what some people saw in Bender. He never looked this good, this much. And never on both ends of the court. And we've seen more good games from Granger this season than from Bender in his whole career.

If not for a bunch of Cavs errors, it could be a lot bigger of a Cavs lead.

Whether it's the system or the player it has to be acknowledged. Even short-handed and we're still playing better ball without him.

SJax's trying to shoot his way out of his slump. 6 for 18 so far.....keep going SJax......I would be surprised if he goes for 25+ FGA for the rest of the game.

Note to SJax....if you can't hit the side of a frickin barn with your shots.....drive to the hoop and try to draw the foul. At least be useful when you have the frickin ball.

Jackson you dip-sh#t. Sarunas is getting himself open off of screens, you're locked in with LeBron on you, so what do you do? Pass to Runi? Nope. Find a Pacer in a better position maybe? Nah. Dribble for 5 seconds then jack up an awful shot? YEAH! AWESOME! *clank*
This is why most want him gone.

Hicks

We won't, but I wish we'd run this play out of the timeout for Danny Granger.

Frank Slade

I doubt we'll win now, but I'm still proud of this effort. I can take a loss when it happens like this. It's a million times more tolerable than quitting.
no doubt !! exactly EFFORT is what it is all about

Like Hicks im proud of the effort also but its a sorry way for it to end. This game deserved to be Grangers.

Why did we take so long to foul?

Hicks
01-27-2006, 09:29 PM
Well I'll be damned, they got him the ball. Well, I'd rather go down with Danny's wide-open 3 than some of the other possibilities.

Mordecaii
01-27-2006, 09:32 PM
I like that move... we can still go for a 3 if they make both FT's or we can just go for a 2 if they miss 1.

Believe_in_blue
01-27-2006, 09:32 PM
that was a nice play because if they miss one then we'll only need a 2 to tie

Give it to Jones I say

still thinking that maybe Jackson back in the game was a mistake..

Mr.ThunderMakeR

I blame this loss on Jax and Croshere, neither one of them was worth **** tonight.

Evan_The_Dude
01-27-2006, 09:40 PM
I can live with this loss because we gave a great effort. Jackson needs to get his ***** together though, he cost us some out there. But being shorthanded we just didn't have enough to pull it off. If either Tinsley or Peja was playing I'm sure we would have probably pulled this off.

We were down 4 to the Cavs at half time last game, SMART ***. How are we playing better? If we where playing any better why are we not up?

You are correct... we played them much tougher the last game...

I'm proud of the effort and dannys game tonight.. but that last play was absolutely pathetic. Someone set a damn pick or something, you gotta get a better look than that. Pretty deflating loss :(

btw, someone noticed the face of peja? he was always smiling*.. i hope that is a good sign of his confidence with the pacers

Look on the bright side guys, Danny Granger is turning into a Pitbull. He was awesome tonight.

And you know what, I think he should be our 1st option over Jackson until O'Neil gets back.

Hopefully we can play like this for the rest of the season. If that happens we could possibly make some noise if/when JO comes back.

-BballIs it Jermaine's fault when he plays people relax and dont give an effort? How in the hell can you blame that on him? Is it Jermaine's fault the coach all of you love so much doesnt want to play this type of basketball when JO is playing?

Is it Jermaine's fault when he plays people relax and dont give an effort?

If you believe that is what happens then I'd have to say "Yes, that would be his fault".

How in the hell can you blame that on him?

Once you know the guys around him have game, then you have to take him to task for not getting it out of them (he's the leader, the max player, he gets the big bucks).... if you believe the scenario you outlined is the problem.

Is it Jermaine's fault the coach all of you love so much doesnt want to play this type of basketball when JO is playing?

Now we're talking about a different thing and might have a point if you think the team intentionally plays different without JO to his detriment.
-

Does your answer mean you are listening to me when I say the team plays better ball without JO? Like I said earlier, whether you blame the coach/system or the player, this happens too much to be coincidence.
IMHO...

I wonder if the defense at the end (on the last real Pacer possession) had anything to do with Brown making an educated guess (based on his time here) of what Carlisle would try and do with 10 secs left?

I wish I'd recorded it to break it down a bit and see what was happening a little closer.

One thing noone has mentioned is that yeah we played with effort and heart tonight, but we did it for a FULL 48 minutes. This hasn't happened in so friggin long.

The third was a little weak, but nothing like weve been seeing.

SECTION 205 ROW 7 SEAT 16

Those were the seats I got tonight! :D

Tonight was amazing! I havent felt this excited in a long time! DANGER WAS INCREDIBLE! 21 points 14 rebounds and 2 blocks! INDIANA JONES made up for his 0-6 performance last time vs the Cavs. He ended with 20 points 2 steals, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists. Great game for those two! HULK! I'm so :proud: I'd say he did pretty freakin good against Z tonight! Although, kind of worried he was going to get 'T'ed up a couple of time for yelling out a few words.

Jack was pretty lame. Sorry but 6-20!? He was just throwin shots up knowing he wouldnt make them. Not too good of a game for him tonight.

SURPRISE! Scot was back. He did a very good job for being out 8 games! He had 6 pts but I'm still a little disappointed with his jumper. JUMPer! I'd like to see his feet leave the ground a bit. :-p Sorry had to say it.

I really liked the way we came out and competed. We gave ourselves a chance tonight! lost by 4 but that's much better than 20! Sure we're 21-21, 6th in the EC but hey we still have 40 games left! Lookin forward to see Peja in uni on tuesday.

Speaking of Peja, I REALLY wished he would have been there the last 10.5 seconds! Cro was very disappointed when missing the 3. I knew he would have so I just gave out a big :sigh: his feet werent under him, he was leaning back so it figures.

OVERALL, I felt like we won but on paper it doesnt appear that way. Tuesday vs Wizards time to end this season high 5 game win streak!
