There we go.

Are the Indiana Fever still around?

01-20-2006, 12:36 PM
Hmm they left Purdue out altogether.......I guess that makes sense, tho.

Does IU soccer count?

And that was a rhetorical queston. :sarcasm:

I think that Wabash College will win a Division 3 National Championship in football soon.

They were unfeated this year in the regular season and lost barely in the playoffs. They are often in contention.

I picked Colts, BTW.

IU Soccer is another good choice.

The Fever might actually be a realistic choice. I went with none of the above, but I take "the ice age" to mean the hockey team will win their championship.

01-20-2006, 01:07 PM
I chose the ice age..

How about the Indiana Alleycats of the ABA? They're 19-1 right now.

Lawrence North High school.

You all need to start following women's basketball. Purdue and ND have both won it all fairly recently, and with so few teams in the W, you'd think the Fever will get their turn eventually.

01-20-2006, 04:55 PM
Not sure why people chose the Colts.

I chose ND. Just look how much Charlie Weis has done thus far.

01-20-2006, 06:53 PM
I went with ND as well.

01-20-2006, 07:08 PM
I may have to choose Notre Dame.

Let's see what moves the Colts make to address this season. They are still 'in the window' regardless of this season's flameout (barring a mutiny or housecleaning).

I hadn't actually thought about the question in these terms but I guess I am saying I don't see the Pacers as remotely even close and I don't see them doing anything about it.

This is so ****ing depressing....why Colts WHY???

01-20-2006, 07:27 PM
how about them Inidianapolis Indians? They won a AAA world series when I was in Indy between 1992 and 1995. I even went on to the field after the last out and congratulated Marge Schott and hte players (the Inidians were affiliated to the Reds back then).

I've gone from thinking the Pacers and Colts would BOTH win this year, to being a someone who thinks it's never gonna happen. Ice Age.

As soon as Hell freezes over, pigs start to fly, dogs start to meow, and we find intelligent life on another planet, it will be Indian's year. At least that is how it seems.

01-21-2006, 04:04 AM
not with Dungy
not with Carlisle
not with Davis.

can I vote for the Fever? I think they're most likely to win one after the Pacers dropped out of contention. it looked like it was the Colts' year, however any Bucs fan could've told you what was coming.

Lawrence North High school.

:grinyes: THREEPEAT!!!

When it comes time for the championship parade for the Colts, the players will all be wearing big parkas and riding wooly mammoths down Meridian Street.

IMO the Colts will win one in the next couple of years but it won't be with Dungy. He is a terrific guy and a class act but his teams have always underachieved in the playoffs.

When he came to Philly with the Bucs in the playoffs his teams didn't show up as soon as they replaced him with Chucky he had a swagger and they came to Philly and he out coached Andy Reid with pretty much the same team Dungy had and went on to win the Super Bowl. Sometimes the team takes on the personality of the coach and the Colts need a coach with some fire/confident swagger to get them over the hump.

I can relate to the ice age option though that would also be fitting for a Philadelphia sports poll.

I was watching the Colts game and to see the look on the fans in the stands at the end of that game I can relate to it because we usually have that same blank stare at the end of our seasons. You always tell yourself this year is different but you end up getting kicked in the stomach in the end.
