Pacers could try very hard to lose this one.

Jermaniac
01-18-2006, 06:20 PM
Damn they start Gerald Wallace at the 4, JO would murder him if he was playing. Cant take it easy on these guys cause we know what they could do to us.

Is Kareem Rush not playing? I sure hope so the guy plays like Kobe everytime he plays us.

I see another good game for Granger and Jackson.... I bet Felton gives us trouble.
Go Pacers

what they heck does that mean?

Sometimes Pacers play that way - lack of concentration and effort.

Wow, ball handling is terrible.

Jermaniac
01-18-2006, 07:17 PM
What a sorry bunch of players we have. They look like someone in their family just died. And are passing the ball like a bunch of pansy's. Wake the hell up.

Primoz is a flopper.

7 TO is the first.

I hate how bad this team can play.

I dont know how players can talk about the reason they lost the previous game is due to turnovers and then commit so many the first quarter of the next game. un f**kin believable.

I just LOVE watching shorthanded teams! Thank you Larry and Donnie, for making this possible for the last two years! Who wants to root for a healthy team anyhow?!

We must be one of the best defensive teams that cant play defense.

We must be one of the best defensive teams that cant play defense.

And the Bobcats are the worst shooting team to shoot 60% from the field.

Jermaniac
01-18-2006, 07:40 PM
Only this team can play against these Bobcat scrubs and come out weak.

Jermaniac
01-18-2006, 07:41 PM
brevin knigth - 9 AST already, if only one pacer could have this kind of numbers...No way to get those numbers in Rick Carlisle's offense. Our players are not allowed to run faster then 1 mile per hour on the court.

01-18-2006, 07:45 PM
Before this game I looked at our run for the next few games :

Bobcats
Minnesota
Chicago
Atlanta
Cleveland
Cleveland
Washington

I looked at this and thought we could come through that about 5-2 or 6-1. Now it looks more like 2-5 or 1-6.

Jermaniac
01-18-2006, 07:46 PM
What in the hell is Jack doing on the bench for the last 6 minutes put him in the game Rick you idiot.

Okay guys so the new rule is, score then start a fight with someone and that will draw you an offensive foul.

-BballThats right we suck when Jermaine plays. But this right now, ohh boy, this team right now is just beauty. I love watching our team play such good basketball with out Jermaine. This team is right up there with the Suns in terms of fun when watching a team play. Trade Jermaine for Steven Hunter, he played for the Suns fun guy to watch.

Jermaniac

Hell yes AJ, BOOM BABY. Down 1.

J_2_Da_IzzO

Jackson is one of the best a losing the ball. He does it with such finesse.

Jermaniac
01-18-2006, 08:28 PM
Rick Carlisle is a idiot, why cant this man learn to put his damn ego aside during games and just put players that are playing good in? Why in the world is Sarunas still on the bench.

DeS
01-18-2006, 08:30 PM
The amount of turnovers already made is enough for the whole game.

J_2_Da_IzzO
01-18-2006, 08:31 PM
Usually i would agree but AJ is doing pretty well at the moment which is a rarity so let him stay out there till he remembers he should be missing the shots.

David Harrison is playing pretty good for a guy that wasn't a NBA caliber player a couple weeks ago....

Actually, to be serious for a moment... The Pacers offense was pretty accurate from the field (over 60%). Their turnovers were more the problem.

01-18-2006, 08:37 PM
Primoz Brezec NEVER EVER EVER EVER passes the ball, boy am I glad we got rid of this dude. Talk about Al and JO being black holes, this guy sucks and he is worse then them. Ball goes into him and no one else is touching it anymore.

Croshere couldn't hit the side of a barn today....but he made up for it with his 8-10 FT shooting. SJax and Sarunas should do that more often....when their shots don't drop...they should simply drive to the hoop to draw fouls.

No doubt , especially Jackson.. I love it when he drives first , good things usually happen as long as he does not force it, and pass when he is double -teamed

Indiana 98, Charlotte 92

By CLIFF BRUNT, Associated Press Writer
January 18, 2006

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- Anthony Johnson did it all against the Charlotte Bobcats.

He scored 16 of his career-high 27 points in the second half to help the Indiana Pacers win 98-92 on Wednesday night. He grabbed 10 rebounds, shot 9-for-14 from the field and had four assists.

He even had a transition dunk in the fourth quarter, a rare occurrence for the 31-year-old point guard. The two-handed jam gave the Pacers a 90-83 lead with three minutes left.

"It's nice," he said. "Now that I'm a little older in age -- I'm one of the older guys -- they (younger teammates) always give me a hard time about dunking. They say if I can't show them something, then I need to just lay it in."

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Johnson was too strong for the 5-10, 170-pound Brevin Knight.

"I had a good matchup as far as size advantage against their point guard," Johnson said. "I was just trying to take advantage of that. I was able to get some shots to go down and got to the foul line, and my teammates were looking for me. It was nice to have a big night."

Stephen Jackson scored 17 points and Sarunas Jasikevicius and Fred Jones each added 14 for the Pacers.

Knight had 15 points and 15 assists and Primoz Brezec and Raymond Felton each scored 15 points for the Bobcats.

The Pacers held a 43-29 rebounding edge over Charlotte, which played without one of its top post players. Emeka Okafor, who averages 13 points and 10 rebounds, has missed the last four games with a sprained right ankle.

"We're asking people to play against guys that outweigh them in some spots by 30 or 40 pounds," Knight said. "That wears on you after a while."

The Bobcats led 41-30 in the second quarter before Jasikevicius scored 10 points in an 18-7 run that tied the score at 48. Charlotte scored the last two buckets in the first half to take a 52-48 lead at the break. Knight had 10 points and 10 assists in the first half.

Johnson scored nine points in the third quarter to help the Pacers take a 73-65 lead into the fourth.

Charlotte cut the Pacers' lead to 82-80 halfway through the final period, but Johnson scored seven points the rest of the way to help the Pacers regain control.

Charlotte, which has lost five straight, shot 57.5 percent in the first half but 38 percent after the break. The Pacers shot 50 percent from the field.

Both teams are dealing with injuries. Okafor and Kareem Rush, two of the Bobcats' top three scorers, were out. Rush, who averages 12.5 points per game, has been out since Jan. 4 with a sprained left index finger. Sean May, a key reserve, has been out since Dec. 20 with soreness in his right knee.

Indiana's Jermaine O'Neal missed his second straight game with a sprained left ankle. He leads the Pacers with 21.4 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Starting point guard Jamaal Tinsley missed his 11th game in a row with a torn right biceps.

Johnson said the Pacers don't have time to feel sorry for Charlotte.

"It seems like we're always down, and no one ever takes it easy on us, so in no way can we take it easy on anyone else," he said. "With us having three starters out, you would think this would be the matchup, but any time guys are out, it gives other guys the opportunity to step up."

Notes

Indiana's Austin Croshere entered the game as the league leader in free-throw percentage, but made just 9-of-12 from the line. ... Jasikevicius scored all 14 of his points in the first half. ... Gerald Wallace and Knight are first and second in the league in steals per game. Knight had five thefts and Wallace four as the Bobcats forced 22 turnovers.
