  wow that was f##king close. I am glad we won, but seriously we need a player that can really score I don't care if his defense is worse than saras, in a close game we just don't have enough fire power to carry us through, as this game was winding down none of our guys were willing to shoot even if it was a clear shot, they just pass the ball around till it ends up in Jacksons hand who has no problem shooting:devil: ( his pass to AJ was a once in a lifetime occurance)

Altough I feel guilty about criticizing Jackson as he has been playing well these days and is a decent scorer, he shot is still streaky and every time he drives inside I  its not a turnover or charge.

Like many of you here I love Sarunas, his passion and energy is inspiring and some of his passes are crazy, but for a guy who was singed to help us with our offense and shooting he has been mediocre so far, in many games I have seen him dribble the ball upcourt and then simply pass the ball to the next guy and watch the action, he does not shoot nor does he try to create for others.

Jeff Foster:laugh: although he rebounds like is life depended on it and does get garbage points, we just need more.

Danny Granger's shooting and scoring has improved but is still far behind compared to other areas of his game(rebounding and Defense).

Austin Croshere is good for a couple of threes a game after that he depends on what the opponents give him, he cant create for himself.I love his hustle and professionalism but I am strictly talking about offense.

Anthony Johnson is a decent backup pointguard and is a hard worker, but again talking about his offense, apart from his ugly jumper which is streaky as hell there is not much to talk about.

David Harrison has a good touch and it seems can score a little if given the opportunity but is too foul porne to help on a consistent basis.

Jamaal Tinsley has never been a scoring point guard, altough he does seem capable of scoring(last year) I dont think he will ever be a dominant scorer, which is find as long as he can stay healthy and run the team.

Jermaine O'Neal is the only player I feel confident when it comes to scoring, that is till the last few minutes of a tight game where you must make your free throws.

Guys like Mike Miller and Corey Maggete are looking really tempting right now.:(

Paul Pierce would difinately help in the scoring department, Odom I am not so sure, he is more of a player maker then a scorer.

when i meant odom, i meant have artest goto LA, odom and filler goto boston, and us land pierce

...and add other fillers to make salaries work...

After watching that Celtics game last night, I wouldn't mind Ricky Davis.

I'm on my way over to Uncle Bucks house now in the Ambulance. I just heard him drop to the floor in Cardiac Arrest when he read that.

Totally agree...if we just said no to a guy like Maggette who would have helped us become a contender next season and in future seasons then we should go for Pierce. You have to go that extra step. Teams always do when acquiring championship talent. Pistons got Rasheed, Spurs got Mohammed (who became key for them in the playoffs though he's out of the rotation now). If we really passed up Maggette because we feel like we can get championship talent then we should really go looking for Pierce-like talent if not Pierce himself.

I'd really really like to get Richard Jefferson.

As I understand the trade situation - the 2 best offers so far for Artest were Maggette (Clips) and KMart (Nugz).

Maggette's probably out till the end of the season (and maybe more?), so he's out. KMart is in JO's position, so he's no good for us. He's also a financial liability for 5 years, which WE would like to take.

But, we can get KMart from the Nugz for Ron and package him along with another asset (Tins or Jax or Foster etc) to get our goal.

Do you think Boston wouldn't give up PP for KMart+Tinsley? or KMart+Jax?
Wouldn't the Nets give up RJ for that same deal? Sonics & Lewis (or Ray)?

I dont see NJ giving up RJ for the simple reason that he is like the only one who can play decent defense there anymore...but otherwise the above idea works...

I think I've pulled through OK.

Peck, this might surprise you, I too think we need another scorer. But he better be a good defender also, or at least adequate. They better not get a specialist who is a scorer only.

You mean you don't want Antawn Jamison?
