Peck mentioned it in his wrap-up post and I have mentioned it in the past.
We need a coach capable of tutoring Harrison (and perhpaps Bynam) in the fine art of playing the middle.

Well I think I may have finally found a name to put with that.

9 time All-Star...named one of the 50 greatest.....Larry Jo's buddy...Robert Parish.

I have 0 idea what he is doing today (he could even be dead, but if so he ain't listed that way).

Anybody have a better suggestion?

He still lives in Indy, goes to games. fan favorite....okay not as good as Parrish in the post, but it would be a start.

I'll grant you that and I think many fans would think it a great move. But I'd like someone more adept at low post play and DEFENSE than Rik was known for.

HE has some kind o0f contract with the C's. He wanted to help out with JO and the C's told him NO WAY he could help out a competitor.

But you couldn't ask for a better....since Kareem is working with Bynum in LA.

Well the Lakers hired Kareem to do the very same thing for Bynum and its showing in how much he has improved so far this season. IMO bigs(especially ones from HS) haven't had the proper coaching so they need someone who has the experience to give them that coaching.

Bill Russell and The Dream are both great suggestions.

Don't forget that it wouldn't have to be a legend of the game though to be a good coach. I didn't watch the NBA back then so I can't name players who would fit the bill.

Also, maybe trade for Mutombo??? Not a big man coach but he would be a great mentor to have IMO but I think Houston values him ALOT with Yao out.

I'd be happy if we just got Tree Rollins back, for god sakes.
