I heard from a fairly reliable source today that Artest will be sent to the Kings along with Austin Croshere for Brad Miller. Brad Miller will restructure his contract in order to return to the Pacers. If this is true, do the P's keep Harrison or do they trade him before the deadline?

No, this is not a joke and I didn't make this up. IMO, this would be a sweet deal, however this still leaves a void at the SF/PG position. Granger is stepping up his game and has played well of late, however I don't think this season is going to change much in terms of championship hopes.

It's not true. Brad can't restructure his deal because Sacto and Indy are both under the cap.

I doubt this very much.

News flash - the Pacers are currently OVER the cap, not under.

Yup, my mistake. I meant to say they can't restructure because they're NOT under the cap.

News flash: Only teams under the cap can restructure contracts.

I think Anthem said it backwards. I believe you have to be under the cap to restructure a contract, if you even can at all.

I Love Brad, but I don't think this would happen. I also think that both Artest and Croshere are too much for a frequently injured player. Artest is top 10 talent, no matter what his attitde is.

I'd do the trade, but not with Cro. Make it Pollard and that would be simultaneously ironic and hilarious...

Can your source order me a pizza with pepperoni?

It's always been my understanding that contracts can not be restructured, period.

No, but she CAN deliver it.

Contracts cannot be restructured or renegotiated.

I'm not 100% certain of that. Didn't Shawn Kemp re-structure his deal - huge reduction - a few years ago?

Or it may be he renounced it. I don't really know - just throwing that out there for discussion.

I second that.

TPTB would not bring BM back. THere is another reason other than money that allowed them to let him go. And we hav enough chronically injured players the way it is.

Brad, although he does seem to get injured late in the season, doesn't miss a lot of games because of his injuries. He's been as durable as Foster and much more than Pollard.

Tinsley's missed about 80 more games during the past 3 or 4 seasons than Brad.

Players can not take a pay cut while under contract.

I realize that Brad makes a whoping 2.5 million more than Pollard (Yes I am being sarcastic and yes I know 2.5 is still a lot of money, but its not in the NBA and Pollard never plays anyway)

There is no way in hell Sacto is stupid enough to have both Bonzi and Ron on the same team. The only way we could get Brad back from Sacto in a Ron trade (if they were willing to part with him and I doubt that) would be to send back Pollard's ending deal and take Bonzi.

Under the new CBA, players on teams that are under the cap can restructure their contracts...
